LED Grill Emblem Letter installed

After procrastinating for a about a year and downing a few cups of cheap Kirkland whiskey, I finally decided to install them.

Long story short, they weren’t the color I expected. Both the ebay listing photo and the picture on the box showed white.

Oh well.. these will either grow on me or get replaced soon.

To each their own but $400 for 6 light up grill letters is wild! I guess the devil's advocate is that if the market bears the price, then it's not too expensive

I mean it's a licensed product so Ford has to get their percentage. Also it has dual colors (amber and white) built in. 2 brightness levels are also built in. And a startup animation sequence. SOOO it's more then just a light. A few extra features.

Care less about the sequence and other features tbh. Care more about it just being a light that LASTS.

I installed an LED hood protector. three lights dead after a year and a half. cut the wire so it's just the protector now without lighting up.

Any info on the longevity of the Putco ones?

Yup. $400 - 1 year warranty. Apparently, the manufacture isn't sure either, or maybe they are. The individual lights are not replaceable so 1 burns out, that's another $400 if you want a fully functional grill lighted grill emblem. Cool look but no thank you.
