Surprised nobody has mentioned that loan interest on a Bronco (purchase) is a write off, at least for the next 3 years.
If you act fast you may be able to secure the Ford employee pricing being currently offered.

It's an "above the line" deduction, too, meaning you don't have to itemize your deductions in order to take it. I bought a used Bronco just before they passed this.

After talking with my wife, she's agreed that this will happen in March of 2027. Most likely going with a Badlands.

So knowing this far in advance + figuring it will be a lease, does it make more sense to order one, or find one on a lot at the time?

Very anxious to see what colors they announce for 2027. I really like Azure Gray and the dark green, but those are 2025 only colors.

Hoping they bring back Azure Gray or Area 51.

Just checked and the order guides for the 2027 Bronco have not been released by Ford yet.

At least per Google, they seem to release the colors around October for 2025 and 2026.

I've never seen a systematic way in how they get released. They already have the Expo, Explorer, Transit, Super Duty and E-Line order guides posted for 2027..

I’m in the same situation likely waiting until this time 2027 and really really wanting Azure Gray

let’s also hope interest rates improve next year because my goal car (obx sas lux) is going around MSRP 63-65k and I’m stressing I won’t find a payment under 750 lol

They're not cheap, especially when comparing to Jeeps. The least expensive one I like is a Badlands (non SAS) that is $56K.

I'm fast tracking this a bit since I have the down payment ready. Now planning to lease one in a month.

So do I offer a cash price before dealing with the lease payments? I figure the ones I'm looking at are priced around $60K. Still haven't decided on an OBX with SAS or Badlands without SAS. Most of the Badlands I'm looking at are 2025 models. OBX are 2026. Assuming I'll get a better deal on a '25.

Also have to figure out if they will give equal, more, or less on my trade and Carvana. I'm thinking they won't match Carvana, which will mean I should time the sale of my current vehicle to happen before I'm ready to get a Bronco. I have a spare vehicle, so that will be fine if drive that for a bit.

A bronco needs 35s or 37s. It looks like a meathead that skips leg day without meaty tires.

If you're leasing and don't plan on doing suspension and wheels/tires, just lease the Sasquatch.

There are a lot of factors that go into leasing prices. The 2025 lease wouldn't necessarily be better than the 2026 lease.

That is the tentative plan. I like the electric leather trimmed seats that are less expensive in an OBX. Add the SAS package, and I get 35's and 4.7 gears. No way am I doing 3.73 gears and 35's.

The Badlands at least has 4.46 gears without SAS, so could do 35's. Though my selling point to my wife will be that I can get the BL and will have the OEM wheels/tires sitting in the garage until I return it (if I don't get one with SAS).

You mention the lease on a '25 won't necessarily be better. Do I still make a cash offer to get a deal? Or is the lease just 100% based on depreciation and price won't really matter. In which case I'm negotiating the lease payment? Or do they just not really negotiate much on a lease?

You can negotiate the total price. You can also negotiate the money factor, especially if you have good credit. I actually put as little down as possible ln leases.

Whem the time comes, I'd also contact a few of the closest dealerships and negotiate with all of them to see who will give you the best deal.

Ok I had a good reply, but I read it and it was s#1t, so I had Grok just explain it, but it's about trading in the car versus selling to someone else, there are tax benefits to treading it in at the selling dealer, and here's how he revised my point.

Quick tip on trading in vs. selling to Carvana:If your state allows a trade-in tax credit (most do), trading your car at the dealer can save you a decent chunk on sales tax.Example:
  • New Bronco costs $60,000 (before taxes/fees).
  • Your trade-in is worth $25,000.
If you trade it in:
  • Dealer subtracts the $25k from the price.
  • You only pay sales tax on the remaining $35,000.
If you sell to Carvana first:
  • You get the $25k cash.
  • You pay sales tax on the full $60,000.
  • Then you use the $25k toward the new car.
That tax difference can easily be $1,000–$2,000+ depending on your state’s tax rate. So even if the dealer’s trade-in offer is $800 lower than Carvana, you might still come out ahead (or close to even) after taxes.

Hope that helps in your Quest.

I have excellent credit, above 800

Good info on negotiating. I have made a list of the Broncos I am interested in, so will probably start contacting them when I'm ready.

Most of the dealers are within an hour drive, so hoping they'll be ok with negotiating over the phone and email. Though I haven't even test driven one yet, so might stop by my first potential dealer and test drive the one I like.

Ok, good to know! I was thinking that I should sell to Carvana about 2 weeks before I'm ready to buy, but looks like I should see what they'll pay on the trade before doing that. I've sold two cars to Carvana in the last few years and it's usually a week+ turn around time. I don't want to wait a day longer than I have to lol.
