JCR Offroad Winch Mount

Anyone have any experience with this? I like the idea of how simple it is and keeps the stock bumper which in my mind is just fine and I don’t have to redo all my lights.

Its strong and sturdy and well built. Only concern I would consider is how it bolts up to the horns. I have seen a few posts say under extreme use, the horns end up bent and further reinforcement may be needed.

Good to know. Thanks. It looks like the strongest option for this style. There is a fab four used bumper on marketplace by me that is an option too for a good deal, I just like the factory bumper and my light setup.

Ended up ordering the JCR Offroad winch plate and the maximus frame Horn braces thanks for letting me know.

100% you will bend the mounts if you winch anything at a downward angle. I have this winch mount sitting in my garage for this very reason. The much cheaper Rough Country mount has been amazing.

Did you have horn braces also?

Yes I have changed my mind. I bent the hell out mine to the point it blocked my front sensor.if anyone is near north Alabama and wants a great deal on winch plate let me know.

I don’t have the horn braces. Nothing on the RC winch or the Bronco has bent and I have used my winch 30 times at least since I changed mounts. I off-road a lot all over the country. I have 97k miles on my bronco. We use it and need reliable equipment.

So far I’ve been very happy with the JCR winch mount And the Maximus braces. I just fabbed up a “Baja” bar if you want to call it that, I wasn’t super happy with the look of the JCR and way overpriced. I’m going to add a tab on the bottom, tying it to the rearward two bolts on the JCR mount also. Not that this is meant as a recovery point, but I don’t like anything not super strong. If anything this adds more rigidity to the winch plate and honest just a meaner look to the front end in my opinion.
