Issues with the steering rack ProCal recalibration software

Can you please describe how you did it? I mean, did you just bring the ProCal device to the dealer, they worked it out with Ford support over the phone, and then you took it back and did the calibration? Or was it something different? Just trying to explore options—my mechanic is getting cold on this, and I’m not seeing any movement from his side anymore.

I bought my Ford Performance Tune for my 2.7 from an online vendor. The ProCal unit with documentation arrived a couple of day later. I installed it myself in about 15 minutes. It's certainly worth it. Just do it yourself.

yes, I understand, I am experiencing an issue with loading the calibration software to the device and @Ford Motor Company service guy stopped answering the emails about the issue :-/

I would take the unit back and deal with Ford myself. I get that the mechanic is losing interest. It's not his rig.

That's what I did. Right now I am having the same issue what he has (obviously) and the support guy email. Emailed him but if they don't answer will start calling them.

DEFINITELY call them. I had an update issue when I was changing my tire size. Got them on the phone, and they were able to diagnose and fix the issue post haste!

By the way, just tried another voucher what is reserved for the Performance tune and the same error came up.

This information took a month and was hard fought to get. I did the rack upgrade and went through a ford dealer to do it. Finally got Ford Performance engineer on the phone, he took over techs laptop and ran through the program. Turns out my Ford Performance rack code had a bad character in it. Never would have worked without his help no matter how many times we tried it. Engineers name was Joe and this is his number.

Thank you! Right now my problem is that the Procal doesn't see the calibration software. Actually not just for the rack but for the performance tune as well. I have 2 vouchers registered on my account but when I connect it thought pro cal software with the connected device it shows the same error for both

Alright man! You saved my Bronco! Really appreciate you sharing the contact. Joe was awesome, he helped me get the right file! Turns out the performance tune voucher was for an F-150, not the Bronco. But Joe connected me with someone who helped me quickly get the correct one. Now everything’s loaded onto my device, so let’s see how it goes from here. Thanks again!

I wish I had taken things into my own hands sooner, missed a couple of trips because of the delay. But fingers crossed, I’ll have my Bronco back next week!
