Mine had the grinding since new, albeit only when it was cold. Brought it to their attention and they said "ford told them it was normal" about 8 months later brought it back in for an oil change and the grinding was def louder and more consistent. They replaced the whole thing and so far its been about a week with no issues

Any updates since the D syncros? My noise is back after a cold soak at 0F. Not as bad as before but there for sure.
Just the original parts update on the 5-6 synchros. The TSB was updated last year to include most 2023's but the parts update was the same.

UPDATE: Trans was rebuilt with D synchros, noise returned within three days. Scheduled an appointment with the dealer for evaluation, received an email confirmation yesterday that Ford has authorized a new trans to be installed and unit is scheduled to arrive today.

Not grinding at all - but, 35k and just started whirring like a turkey call when cold and up-shifting gears on the clutch release. Throwout or pilot bearing?

I am waiting on a trans replacement after tech found that the 6th ring had imprinted on the input shaft and had corrosion. That’s all I got from service advisor. Tech had done 6 previous TSBs never seen anything like it. Pictures were sent in to Ford

Did they share the pictures? Would be nice to see the described damage.

How has it been handling up so far? Starting to wonder if I should be looking for a mustang 6 speed 🤭

I took mine in thrice for this issue. The first time they said they didn't hear it. Second time I went there and started it in the morning and they acknowledged the noise and said they would order the parts, 3 weeks later I call for an update and was told 2023 didn't apply to the TSB. Once the TSB changed it was warm outside and they could no longer hear it. Now I'm over 36k miles and living in Florida. I still hear it occasionally but not as bad.

Am I out of luck because I'm out of warranty? My concern isn't now but at 100k+. I didn't change the trans oil when I serviced the diffs because I honestly thought they would accept and respect it. Fool me.

The power train warranty is 5 years 60,000 miles. The TSB even includes 2024 models so you are covered 100%.
