Is this normal?

I just purchased a 2025 four-door Badlands with a blackout package . This is my first bronco. It was supposed to be at dealership over a month ago, but the dealer told me it was on hold at the factory. I asked the dealer if they knew why and they said no sometimes this happens..

The bronco finally showed up at the dealership two days ago . I go to pick it up today and I noticed there was 3 small chips in the paint. The dealer agreed to have them fixed. I’m excited to get the truck so I have them write me a (we owe you note ) to fix the chips.

On the way home, I noticed that there was 70 miles on the truck. I called the dealership. They assured me that the car has been on the lot since it was delivered.
And the mileage is from the factory.

I looked it up online and it said it is not unheard of especially with Broncos. Has anyone else had this experience or know why it would’ve been on hold at the factory or why it would have 70 miles on it from the factory. ?

any information or input would be helpful

70 miles on a 2025 is a lot more unusual than a dirt/snow mountain 2021.

Read post #7, I don't know how many miles that entails, but that may extend beyond, trouble on snow mountain.

It’s not just Broncos - they do it with all of them but F150’s are by far the most common I see. Keep in mind Henry Ford invested heavy into real estate and purchased hundreds of thousands of acres of vacant land all over south eastern Michigan and elsewhere. That land was converted into commercial, industrial and residential sites over the years. Ford Motor Company still owns much of the land under their Ford Land real estate arm. That gives them a lot of locations to store vehicles waiting to be shipped or waiting to be chipped."

Copy. I thought all those storage lots were being utilized back then due to COVID related chip shortages (and then later the hardtop issue). I'm guessing there's no need these days to store new Bronco's far away before loading on the rail/rig (other than SE).

My 23 Heritage Edition went into production July of 23, finally delivered November 23 with 48 miles on it.

It had to go through the build process 14 times to fix all the recalls before being loaded on the train.

Perfectly normal.

Everglades off the trailer here: 2024, bought it the day it arrived and can confirm it had about 40 something miles on it so it is normal.
No one had touched it even coming off the trailer.

My 2024 Everglades arrived with 50 miles on it after being held for a month for QC check. It averaged 8 mpg during those 50 miles, so Indio22’s post is probably accurate.

There will be a note in the glove compartment (unless the dealer "cleaned" it out during their PDI) stating the Bronco was pulled for QC.

In some cases like during COVID, Broncos were stored offsite while chipsets were delayed to complete the build. In other cases, the Bronco is actually driven as part of the additional scrutiny.

Having additional miles than what is expected is normal for vehicles pulled for QC.

Apparently some get driven to dealerships. My 24 had 890 miles on it since may 24 and was at the dealer till September when the software update was completed and ready for purchase. now has 2k on it luckily no rock chips.

My 25 Badlands, 2.7, sasquatch, with black appearance package, ordered 4/1, went into production 5/13, completed 6/19, shipped 6/22, delivered 7/10 with 40 miles on the odometer

I wouldn't worry about the mileage. After waiting about 3 years, I had about 225 on mine when I finally got it. Had some stuff added at the dealership, which probably added a few miles. Was pissed for about 2 minutes until I got in the driver seat. Then didn't give a shit anymore.
