Personally I would never pay over Msrp...I can afford it but just can’t (why I don’t have a Ford gt). If ya don’t “need” a vehicle, Oder the Bronco (you like the ride/drive) and wait. Of course, you do you...I don’t even know why you ask...

HAHAHA....I wasn't sure why I was asking either. I was on a ledge about to throw $15k into someone's pocket (which I have never done before, on purpose anyways....well, there was that one time in a vegas poker room where I thought I had "the nuts"...but I digress)....

However, I got some great answers/justifications/optional ideas from much more experienced actual Bronco owners to help with my decision in a short period of time...I have had good luck and love internet forums for exactly what I got so far...

If you don't need it, then don't buy it. And by "need", I don't mean need it to live. Rather I mean need it to accomplish things with the key functionalities.

Based on the terrain you will cover, sounds like you could have some fun experiences in a regular lower cost and easier to get JLU, or even an Outback if you will not get significant usage from the top down. I once drove around the easier scenic trails in Ouray in a rented Nissan Rogue.

Take the extra money and travel, invest, buy another fun used car, or help other people out. Personally there is no way I'd throw a bunch of money at ADM.

Funny how a question like this sets up both sides of the fence.

I'm like a few others. I'll fly across country and drive back for that ADM (and did just that when I bought a Gen 1 Raptor - had a great vacation).

I've had the luxury of being in both the 392 and Bronco (Badlands). Personally I'd drive the 392 until ADM went away on the Bronco, or as others mentioned order one, then trade in the 392.

From my experience there will always be a market for unique trims like the 392, but you will never see that ADM on resale.

You're upside down with ADM for years.

I can't really afford to essentially throw $15k into the trash just so I can have instant gratification. If you can afford it and that doesn't bother you, you should ignore my opinion and do what makes you happy. It's your money, after all.
EXACTLY where I weigh in on this also.

In a year or two, when they are cranking out 120,000 Broncos a year .... the trash can is exactly where that $15k went.

So yeah, if you can afford it, buy it, love it! I know you will!

If you can settle for less for a bit, get a regular Bronco while you wait for your dream Bronco to get built. Maybe you can get away from that ADM.
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at even the lower trim levels.

I ended up ordering my 2dr manual Base just to learn about this brand new vehicle so I could make an informed order in a year or three.
I have confidence that it will hold it's value well until then.
In the mean time, I HAVE A BRONCO to drive!!!

I'd get the 392 instead of paying over MSRP for a used bronco. Plus you still have to pay tax on the vehicle when you title it (or in Iowa you do). I like the wranglers but they're terribly uncomfortable for someone tall... Considered a Rubicon during the great wait of 2021.

392 will turn off road / Jeep fan heads.
Bronco (for better or worse) will turn all types of heads. They’re new, rare, awesome. Eventually Broncos will be all over the place just like Wrangler variants. May as well go with a bronco and enjoy this fun, rare time.

15k could get you in a nice rig until your order comes in. I wouldn’t pay over personally. It just gives these dealers more fuel to keep doing it and screwing over order holders.

SO many options there to play with 15K.
Personally I would not ever pay 15K over.
Too many can be had with a bit of digging for far less, even MSRP deals on some of these mannequins can be found, and you would be out the price of a plane ticket, but gain an adventure back home in your new MSRP ride.
OR, as @Butzy said, pay $15K for an interim adventure vehicle (think TJ Jeeps) to get out there, explore, live the life until your ordered WT is ready, then sell your interim vehicle for probably close to what you paid for it.
That's what I did.
Bought a built TJ, drove it all summer with the top down, rode a lot of trails, sold it for what I paid for it once I got the built and on the way email.

Even if you have funds to burn in retirement, don't necessarily do so.
You worked too hard all those years to throw it away now.
$15K will afford you a lot of room to travel and have experiences.
