I tried many searches but couldn’t find anything to answer my problem. I ordered a New Headlight switch with the fog light option So is the wiring harness already behind the bumper for direct plug a play ??? Or do I not change the headlight switch and use the optional upfitter switches ???
Many Thanks, Steve

It depends. If you have front parking sensors, then you have a capped off plug near each front recovery point. If no sensors, no harness.

If you have front bumper sensors, you have most of the harness and adapters are available from a few site sponsors to run directly off a foglight switch. You may need a Forscan flag flipped to make it actually work.
If you use an aux switch, you won't be restricted by the software on when you can use your fog lights like together with your highbeams, or with other lights off.

Lots of threads on how to do this, if you can't find them, you can click the Bronco link in my signature, it goes to my build thread, on the second page is everything you need to do if you have the harness in your bumper. It's easy, the forscan steps are easy, and you can customize it the way you want it.

If you don't have the plug already in your bumper, you go to the aux switches, lots of threads on that also.

Then you'll need to hook them up to the upfitter switches. This is a better option anyway. With the headlight switch the fogs will turn off when you go to high beams. With the upfitter switches the fogs will stay on.

The wiring harness MIGHT be there. If your bumper has the front sensors (4 of them) built in, then the wire will be there. That's not to say they MIGHT NOT be there... go look.

It's behind the tow hooks and under it slightly. Remove the plastic tow hook cover and you can get in there and see it. It's taped up.

It's not plug and play though.

You're going to require some pigtails (we sell them) to connect between your fog lights and the factory wiring. We sell them for the fog kits that we sell. Just let me know which one of our fog kits you have so I can link you the right harness.

That's just one part of the solution. Another part is using FORSCAN (software to program the truck) to enable the fog circuits, as they are disabled by default.

BUT out of the box our fog kits work with your overhead upfitter switches. You are NOT required to change any switches to get them to work. Folks opt to install a new headlight switch w/fog button so that they can free up 1 upfitter switch.

Not with an easy Forscan adjustment (Do a search on Bambi mode & Forscan)

Another option is to splice in to the existing wire harness upcircuit from where the wires would of originated for those connectors that aren't there. I did this by tapping into the wiring behind the left front wheelwell. This allows you to use that factory switch that you bought.

I have the wiring details if you're interested (it's a bit of a pain and you have to be decent with wiring to make it happen). I preferred doing this to splicing into a headlight harness. You also have to enable with Forscan.

If you're not up for this, factory upfitter switch is a good option.
