Hi y’all!
I’m new to the community, but not to broncos. Appreciate everyone that provides all the good info and advice.

I found these guys on Instagram, @Ford_Bronco.parts and they have a ton of used bronco parts. Has anyone tried buying from them?

I tried and the deal was too good to be true. Once I agreed on the price they asked for payment. They offered the usual, Zelle, Apple Pay, Cash app. I told them I only have Venmo (only Venmo and PayPal offer buyer protection) and I asked them to provide a picture of all of the items in one pic.
After a lot of back and forth they only wanted to be paid via Venmo “personal” and would only provide a pic after payment.

Obviously a scam, and I reported them multiple times but they continue to have sponsored post. So makes me wonder if anyone has actually purchased from them?

I usually poke around sellers’ recent activity before sending money, since sketchy pages often leave little trails. I’ve used instagram influencers in the past to get a clearer picture of who’s legit, and it’s saved me from a few duds. For parts accounts, I look for consistent posts, real comments, and buyers tagging them in installs. If this one feels too glossy with no real chatter, I’d tread lightly.

I wouldn't buy from anyone who doesn't list a working phone number and physical address. Then I'd use Google Earth, Google Maps or Apple Maps to check the address.

Any of these FB pages and IG pages with "parts" in their name are all scammers. Avoid them. Buy from legit vendors and websites. Not FB/IG users.

I’d be a little cautious with any IG seller offering deals that feel too sweet. I’ve started doing a quick Social Media Background Check on sellers whenever something feels off, and it’s saved me from a couple sketchy situations. If the account looks brand new, has weird engagement, or dodges questions, I usually walk away. Sometimes paying a bit more beats the headache of chasing missing parts.
