lately every day I have to reboot my screen because android auto starts then after about 2 min it starts stuttering and skipping, the screen is non responsive or very laggy and eventually I get a msg saying poor phone connection. Im pretty sure the phone isnt the issue as even after turning the phone off the screen will be half frozen/laggy/unresponsive.

I also noticed I no longer get the bronco splash screen and it just goes from black to on when starting the car.

I’m having issues as well with Apple CarPlay. I have to reboot to get it to connect and it doesn’t always automatically connect to my phone when I get in the car. It’s been happening to me for a little over a week.

Unfortunately, these issues aren't uncommon. I don't have any sure-fire fixes but I do have a couple of tips that may help

You can reboot sync by pressing Radio Power + Fast Forward and holding for about 10-15 seconds. Sync will reboot, and you can do that while driving. This will usually fix frozen screen, no audio, phone not connecting, missing audio channels, Carplay/AA not working properly, etc.

When starting up the Bronco, wait for Carplay/Android Auto to get initialized and running before putting the vehicle into drive or reverse. Sometimes it will have issues, particularly swapping to the rear camera and back, if it hasn't fully booted up yet.

If rebooting sync isn't fixing phone connection issues (including issues with CP/AA) - try rebooting your phone as well.

If all else fails - the general fix for general weird issues is to unhook the negative terminal of the battery for several minutes. Then reconnect it, and put the battery on a trickle charger over night - ensuring you have the charger hooked up correctly so the BMS registers the charge. A lot of issues can be fixed by either rebooting all the modules in the truck, or correcting low voltage that can sometimes develop over time (lots of short trips, for example)

There is supposed to be a big Sync 4 update coming in Q4 - hopefully it will help with these issues. Sync 4 is a general mess.

appreciate these tips, but ive been doing them for the last two years now lol. The loss of the splash screen and freezing is new to me though.

I havnt tried unhooking the battery which might be a good idea, I dont have a tender to hook it to so cant do it overnight but 30 min should reset things.

I'm pretty sure you need to have the system replaced. I had those problems, and the service manager ordered a new system.
