Hey all! Thinking about getting a Bronco. I would like to get your thoughts on some of the possible problems I have come across in learning about Broncos. Has anyone experienced leaking through the tops? Valve problems in the 6 cylinder? Excessive or annoying tire noise? Overall how satisfied are you with your Bronco? :)

With every problem you read about, you'll also run across people that have absolutely no issues. Either way most of us here love our Bronco's.

The main thing to keep in mind is that it's not a quiet smooth vehicle like a luxury SUV. Think of it more like a jeep. That way you're expectations are in the right place. Good luck!

Edit: And yes I neglected to mention, definitely behaves better than a Jeep on the road. ;)

I traded a 2019 Jeep Rubicon for a 2024 Bronco Wildtrak. The Wildtrak has essentially all the capabilities of a Rubicon, except it lacks a sway-bar disconnect. The Wildtrak rides impressively well on highways above 45mph whereas the Rubicon had the proverbial Jeep death wobble, requiring both hands on the steering wheel. The Rubicon would bounce all over the road; the Wildtrak steers straight and easily. I have NOT experienced any of the problems you mention (no leaking roof, no broken tie-rods etc.). The Bronco ride is simply far superior with its independent front suspension. It’s also quieter. In the end, it’s a personal choice but, I don’t think you will be disappointed with a new Bronco. Just avoid the Bronco Sport, which is NOT a true Bronco; it’s on the Ford Edge frame.

Yes, some tops leak. Yes, a handful of 2.7 v6's produced in 2021 had a valve/engine issue.

There's plenty of quirks and random issues, much like any other car these days, but that doesnt mean Broncos are lemons.
It's a convertible, with frameless doors, designed for hitting trails. There will be noise. Having said all that, I love my Bronco, and would order one again no questions asked. I have a Badlands with the soft top, and it rocks. Wind noise with the soft top, is negligible, until you get up to highway speeds, and even then, it's not that bad.

My front pinion seal is leaking, the 7mt makes noise when it's cold. Couple issurs that need to be addressed, but the Bronco is perfect for me. It's perfect.

Escape/Maverick platform, but yeah still not the same.
