Im still so torn. BD or Basequatch?

I edited my post to include possibility of Big Bend with Sasquatch.

I agree that the more difficult and expensive mods are the suspension, lockers, and gearing. Big Bend with Sasquatch, pulled carpets, heated seats, vinyl seat covers added later, and add the modular bumper (or do aftermarket later) might get you everything you want and it saves you from the hard stuff. One of the easiest mods to my Jeep was swapping bumpers.

I thought about Big Bend but I have a feeling that BB plus the Sasquatch package will push me way past my budget of $38k or less.

Completely understand. Everybody should have their own definition of responsibility and stick to it. I don't have much serious responsibilities(no wife, no kids), I'd rather not spend 45k on a truck either but I know if I quit eating lunch out everyday at work I can build up a little more for a down payment. And bologna sandwiches aren't that bad haha

Taxes and fees is what I'm worried about. That alone will put me close to 40k

I'm so torn on what Model I want to go with. I originally plan on going Base+ Sasquatch 2 door. Obviously the Package pricing is definitely going to be the determining factor.

With that said I really like the Black Diamond. I love all the accessories it comes with. Especially the Vinyl interior with rubber floors and drain plugs. And there's the Steel bumpers, auxiliary switches, rock sliders, upgraded heavy duty bash plates, and more.

I was torn between both these options as well as I have a similar budget and I want all the accessories you like as well. I already decided I am going with the 2 door 2.7L Base Squatch. My reasoning is that 7,500$ is not worth some steel bumpers and bash plates and a hole to drain some water. Yes it has the rear locker, but that will be included in the baseSquatch. Just my 2cents

We've still got a long way to go. 4 months to even order. Bologna sandwiches, less tobacco and alcohol, and no new guns for a while. It's amazing how fast a little savings here and there can build up. Just my plan anyway, everyone is different

That Vinyl interior and rubber floor with drain plugs is a big deal. Especially where i live on the East Coast. Spring and Fall can be like Monsoon season and mud everywhere. That interior makes it so easy to clean. You can literally wash it out with a hose. Plus i can get Area 51 paint.

It looks like you have your answer then, get the Black Diamond! I want that also, I wish I could actually get the Badlands, but BaseSquatch for me unless that comes out to more $$ than the BD then ill have to think about it

Is this going to be a daily driver as well? If off road is your number one priority no matter what, then go Base with as many off road options as you can. Primarily those AUX switches and Sasquatch package. You can slowly piece the rest together and it saves you all the trouble of wiring future mods and installing a lift, gears, and lockers later. Like I said before, vinyl seat covers (Iggee is the brand a lot of Jeep guys use) and pull the carpets and you almost have the same interior. I heard the drains under the carpets are different from the BD/BL/FE, but I imagine it's just a rubber plug like the wranglers so it's not a huge deal. I also haven't had carpet in my Jeep for years and it's been awesome.

If you are going to drive primarily on road, then Black Diamond might be the way to go. It has most of the work you will ever need already done and bundled into the price, is still very off road capable, offers the paint you want, and you might be able to pick up a few creature comforts from the factory. When spending this much money, it really is important to be happy with your color choice.

In my opinion you really can't go wrong either way. It just depends on how you think you will get the best use out of your vehicle.

You know of course there is no wrong answer here, uhhh unless your default option is a.........wrangler. ok, just kidding. Get the one that gives you the most (maybe not all obviously) but the most things you really want. If I had to guess I would say from all the comments that a bunch of folks on Bronco6 are having a hard time trying to decide between forced choices. In the end love the one your with cause there are no bad Broncos (well maybe bad to the bone, which is good!) Good luck!

Hmm, you don't want the 35's , right?
The Black Diamond has a lot of good running gear, the paint and interior you want....add 33's when the stockers wear out and your about done.
I'd be willing to bet the BD can handle 1 extra inch of tire without a lift.
By the time the stock tires wear out, we'll know FAR FAR FAR more than we do now, that's for certain.

the Black Diamond package gives you the most bang for your buck in terms of options & and off roading capability out of the box - it really is the best value.

you dont need the sasquatch package. 32’s are a good size above most and you can alsways give it a lift and different tires down the road.

the good thing here is that you have plenty of time to sit and think about it, research, weigh the options, save money, and overall figure out what will make you the most happy.

No I actually i do want 35s. Its the Main reason why I'm torn. Just not a huge fan of the style of they wheels on the Sasquatch. With that said they may look better in person.

If i knew 33s would fit the Black Diamond after the stock tires where don't id do that. The Badlands comes with 33s but its running on different suspension. Its called Badlands suspension with bilsteins. So im not convinced 33s would really fit a BD.

Thats basically what im waiting to see. Im hoping one way or another that makes my decision for me. If Sasquatch is too much then Black Diamond it is.

Yeah its definitely going to come down to the price of the Sasquatch package. If its affordable I'll probably go Base. I definitely will add the Auxiliary option as well. I have a feeling its going to be expensive though.

The problem is im on a tight budget. So which ever one I go with im stuck with. There won't be adding options in the future or at least not the near future. There won't be ripping out carpet and adding rubber flooring.

Thats the main reason why its so hard. Because which ever one I pick it has to be done from the factory. No add ons later. Not for awhile anyway.

It will be on road and off road. 50/50 split. So off road capability is important. Its just om not doing extreme rock crawling. From my experience a rear locker is pretty hard core compared to just a regular 4x4.

I used to have a lifted old Chevy on 38s. No lockers. I used to do some pretty hard core off roading and never go stuck once. Even drove it through a shallow lake and got temporally hung up on an underwater log and still got out without Lockers. So the rear locker on the Black Diamond is already light years ahead of that set up.

Other trucks I've owned were Toyota tundra ,Ford f 150 and my Ram 1500 that I just sold. All of those trucks handled the pretty rugged rocky 2 mile off road next to my house no problem without Lockers.

So I'm thinking the rear locker on the BD will be amazing to have and be sufficient. Sure I would like front as well but thats more of a want then need. I think. Because one day I'd like to branch out and do some Adventure trail exploring and do some Overlanding. Would I need both for that? You never know what kind of crazy road ill end up on. I'm still thinking the rear locker would be good enough.
