Basequatch or Black Diamond?

I was between these builds initially too. Regarding 2.7, I have same motivation; wife refuses to learn to drive a manual and if I’m getting an auto, it’ll have the extra power.

I went base sasquatch. Rails and underbody can be had as take offs, parts order, or after market. Mgv is nice, but I couldn’t justify the cost. I like knowing I bought the most off road capable thing I could even if I never need it. Just feels like a better bang for the buck and still at least a grand less than the BD. I’d have to really want the MGV to go BD over base

Yep. It's why I'm leaning towards spending a bit more to SAS the Black Diamond. Figuring what's $3k-$4k at this point.

I'm kinda stuck too, because I really do need the 7 pin for trailer brakes. I don't really care for the Big Bend and if I'm spending more than Base, I might as well get the interior I want too. It's a cascading effect that takes place. Badlands, I actually don't like the signature lighting, don't like the wheels and I don't like the grille. I know I can change out the grilled down the road too. Badlands would probably be the call, but I just like the BD SAS better. Call me crazy.

Being the penny pinching dad, I’m surprised you aren’t going base Sasquatch vs BD Sasquatch. Isn’t the difference $7-8k? For basically wash out interior, leather steering wheel, rails and skids?

Granger deal it isn't that big of a difference from the data I've been given from Granger and me making a few assumptions trying not to overload them requesting multiple different builds.

Yes. Problem is, I need 7 pin tow package. Base doesn't offer that and researching how and how much that might cost after taking delivery could eat up some of that difference too. If the 7 pin tow aftermarket gets solved for Base, then BaseSas makes even more sense for a buyer like me. In Illinois I'm required to have trailer brakes for a trailer over 3,000#. I'm under that without any gear, but I think I'm pretty close to that threshold fully loaded.

There are trailer brake kits on the market that say they’re for the Bronco, but I don’t believe I’ve seen an actual review that confirms that everything works properly. With all the computerization involved, it’s no longer just a plug ‘n play device any more. If you get the factory harness, you’ll know for sure that it’s all integrated the way it needs to be. Unfortunately, you’ll have to buy Ford’s brake controller separately, so add another $350 or so into the equation…

Yep. I'm at Granger and I have time. I'm waiting patiently for the Base aftermarket 7 pin tow options to catch up. I think in the next few months we'll see something more concrete on these options.

Sasquatch no matter what level Bronco your budget affords, unless that budget already gets you into a Badlands 7MT.

Front Locker , Advanced 4x4, 4.7 gears are all cost prohibitive in the aftermarket.

BD all the way...it's probably the best value of the entire line. I would toss a levelling kit and some good wheels/tires on it later and call it good.

I actually think it's one of the worst values and no matter how I built it I could never make it make sense. Add any options and you're pushing into BL pricing territory but with fewer comforts, and a base Sasquatch is more capable for similar money. The only real advantage I see over a lower trim is MGV.

huh? My BD order was over $4k cheaper than my BL order and all I really upgraded was mid to high package. BD is amazing for what you get.

Went through alot of the same except I was in between get Badlands and Black Diamond. The washout floor is a must for me. But I couldnt justify the 12k difference to get Badlands plus I hate the color orange like they have inside. So I saved the 12k and ended up with blue interior that matches my Velocity Blue exterior.

That 4k gets you the SBD, upgraded front axle with locker, better lighting, and advanced 4x4. Now that's value.

The only reason I changed my BD Sasquatch order to a BL Sasquatch order was for high package. I don't have a use for sbd, lockers and I honestly like the BD grill and lighting more. The only reason I'm going Sasquatch is for aesthetics. I've mentioned here before my Bronco will probably never go off-road.
