Anyone else noticing their Icon suspension rear is too stiff. Yes insert joke here. I just installed a Stage 8 package on my 4dr BadSquatch and the truck “thuds” when I drive over a manhole cover or 1” “imperfection” in the road. I purposely hit a dip fast and the front was amazing then the rear wanted to buck up. I have not had a chance to call Icon but in looking online I ruled out usual causes (setting in app, broken wires, tires are at 35PSI). The preload on the spring is lowest possible, i.e. soft.

Yah, Doesn't seem right. I was under the impression that the stage 8's were the plushest of the bunch. I have the icon stage 4's and mine rides better than the factory bilstein's. The one thing I noticed right off the bat was how well the rears sucked up the hits. Is your rear axle is centered between the body? If not, this will cause weird behavior.

I did a quick measurement and it looked centered but perhaps i'll take more time to check it with a laser or something.

No experience with Icon or 6G so just throwing this out there.

If you have a rear away bar did you get longer links with the kit? I had a super harsh ride come from an improper set sway bar. I did small lift that didn't come with sway bar links and had to move the sway bar around to soften up the suspension.

Laser isn't necessary, just eye ball it. Try cycling the rear suspension to see if any of the joints are binding.
Its been awhile since Ive installed my icons but I believe they now have different rated spring options. Perhaps your are the heavier rated ones?

Ford Bronco Icon rear suspension too stiff (my error, solved) IMG_1383

Stage 7 ICON. Make sure the bolt is in the right way😃 voice of experience. I put it in backwards by mistake and then took it for a ride.
easy fix once I figured it out. Took a week to get a new brake line

I did recheck it. Seemed like axle was about 3/16” to one side. I adjusted it but nit

Well .... I did the same thing. Dang it. That's why it only had 1" of travel. Thanks for the warning, but it was too late.

Embarrassing Update: I put the upper track bar bolt, the one that fastens the track bar to the frame, in backwards such that it was sticking out over the axles and brake lines. It's a long bolt, longer than it needs to be. You don't see the interference when you have it up on the lift and suspension hanging. So the bolt was hitting the brake line and bracket. Instead of 14" of rear travel, I had 1". Damaged brake line so have to be without my ride for a week while part comes in. Thanks everyone for your help, unfortunately this was a stupid mistake by me. By the way, I was quite pleased with the service help I was getting from Icon. They went up a notch in my book.
