I’m new around here, forgive me if this has been discussed somewhere I missed.

I’m looking to improve the interior lighting of my ‘22 OB with little kids in the back seat. How does the IAG dome light replacement compare to the 4 piece kit? I like the simple install of the dome light replacement. Is it a big enough upgrade vs stock? Wiling to do the 4 piece if it’s worth it but don’t love the idea of installing around the airbags.

Thanks in advance.

I installed the 4 piece light. Very good quality. Provides very good light. Goes on when doors open. I did not do optional switch. If possible I would do the extra switch option. Extra separate switch was little more involved. Instructions on you tube were good. Had to remove many trim panels. Hardest part was tying in main fuse harness in dash. Not alot of room. Got to make sure tie in correct gray wire or will not work as planned. So pay close attention to instruction. Overall worth while addition.

I installed both a new rear cargo light and a 4-light kit. Not IAG but close. The rear cargo light is on the same door switch as the OEM and the 4-light kit is on an AUX switch. I was worried that there would be too much light with all of them on the OEM switch and I didn't want to fumble around with the dash switch if I needed light while driving. Perfect for me.

Did you go with the IAGs? Can you post a link to the instruction video? I’m looking for options too and this sounds like a good way to go. Thanks.

Which ones did you go with? Can you post pictures of your lighting solution? Thanks!

Not much to see really. Both together was the same $ as just a 4-light set.

The rear dome is the same as the Mabett and IAG but an off (at $45.00) brand that is no longer available. Like this or one of the others: https://www.amazon.com/LEPZ-Rear-Ceiling-Lights-LED/dp/B0C4LGX5VT/ref=sr_1_9?s=automotive&sr=1-9

Or this: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806492371164.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.7.4f5a3a0blQug9I&algo_pvid=e16f1d76-05e7-4195-82c1-1e1c665d95b0&algo_exp_id=e16f1d76-05e7-4195-82c1-1e1c665d95b0-3&pdp_npi=4@dis!USD!63.86!25.58!!!464.08!185.86!@2103209b17352524763352913e73c1!12000037993206091!sea!US!0!ABX&curPageLogUid=2SY6YJ9a6X9A&utparam-url=scene:search|query_from:

Same for the 4-light kit, no longer available but it was around $50.00. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CNXMQ756/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I don't have a roof light bar so I cut the connector and circuit board they used to connect the OEM harness, turned it 180 deg (ran the now bare power wire to the front and not to the rear OEM cargo light) and wired the host to the upper OEM Grey/Orange at the RH visor and that to the #5 switch, Blue/Orange behind the glovebox. I used a ring terminal for the ground attached to one of the mounting bolts for the trim.

My #6 switch is to the magic harness for turning BU to rear scene lights.

Gotcha. Appreciate the response and detail. That’s definitely going to be handy when I take on my upgrade. I like the upfitter switch solution.

Yeah, some where having issues with the 4-light setup and they had to play with the dimmer switch to get them to work correctly. The overhead AUX switch panel is more convenient for me and with the updated rear dome light there is plenty of light to get in and out, load stuff, etc. If I need more light, its available.
