I saw the infamous pink Jeeps.

Sedona, AZ. I’m glad it was Jeeps. It would be a shame to do this to a Bronco.

Since the Bronco was at home on the other side of the country, I considered doing the Jeep tour, as well as the helicopter tour, but in the end we didn’t do either. We drove our rental car to a trailhead and hiked up to Devil’s Bridge instead. The views were pretty spectacular.

Not gonna lie: walking out on the bridge where everybody poses was peak pucker factor for me. I do not like ledges with long drops. Glad we did it though.

Broken Arrow trail, Sedona, was my first offroad drive in my 23 Badlands, Sasquatch, 2 door. All previous 4wd offroading was in stock gen1 Broncos. Broken Arrow is touted to be a moderately difficult drive. Seemed quite easy to me, though would have been considerably more difficult in my gen1. It's a short but very scenic drive. Went early in the day and avoided most of the pink jeeps. Was quite pleased with my gen6. Perhaps some day I'll take my gen1 back and try it on Broken Arrow.

Those Pink Jeeps are like pink cockroaches on the trails! We've been out there a few times in our Jeeps (just got the Bronco a few weeks ago) and the Pink Jeeps ruin the experience for anyone on the trail. They zoom up behind you (because the driver gets paid for how many tours he does so they are always in a big rush) and tailgate you if you go too slow for their liking, often taking "sh!t" about you over their PA to all their riders.. One time we Even heard them proclaim that we (in front of them, going too slow for their liking) were on the trail illegally and were not even supposed to be there (not true)..
They are the plague of the trails.

This is my first trip to AZ and I’ve been wishing every day that I had the Bronco with me. I may have to road trip out here next time.

It’s been sunny and high temps of 60’s and 70’s everywhere we’ve been except for Phoenix where we flew in, which is weirdly in the mid 90’s all week. We just spent one night there and hit the Desert Botanical Gardens the next morning before leaving. Grand Canyon is on the agenda today.

Aside from the horrific choice of paint, that’s actually decently built. The sliders with steps and tailgate reinforcement are on the horizon for me. But yeah, I shuddered a little when I saw it.

My wife and I have been to Sedona the past couple of years and rented from Anthony of Bronco's of Sedona https://www.broncosofsedona.com/ His love and passion for the Sedona area and knowledge of Broncos goes way back. Great memories and what a fun experience. Highly recommend Tony and his son Marco. During both trips we hit different trails and with 5 combined days of rental we did not see it all. I would love to do the 2,800 mile trip and trailer my rig out west, but do not have the time, so flying & renting makes the most.

When you are wheeling your are taking the most expensive route to go nowhere. Pink Jeeps are there supporting the local economy and providing jobs. People making a living doing their jobs. Common trail etiquette and courtesy should be given to them by pulling over when possible and let them pass.

Yep, the whole Pink Jeeps thing is marketing and it works. And it gets people thinking about buying a real SUV and continuing in the fun when they realize their Honda CRV is not what they thought it was.

The good thing about the Pink Jeeps? If you don't know where the scenic trails are, just follow them!
