I am getting a pretty loud whistle coming from the air vents when driving at highway speeds under any of the following conditions:
- recirculate air button engaged
- HVAC system on, but nothing selected within vent selection (i.e. defrost, main vents, feet vents all de-selected)
- HVAC system entirely turned off (fan, heat, a/c all off)
My first reaction is that there must be a dampener / vent in the engine bay that is intended to suck in fresh outside air, and whenever that closes (due to one of the conditions listed above), it starts to whistle when driving at highway speeds.
Anyone run into this issue?
Any ideas on how to resolve?
