Just joined after picking up my new to me 22 Outer Banks. Figured I would do the polite thing and introduce myself before jumping into too many forums.

Can't wait to find out y'alls favorite mods and places to wheel around Texas. I have taken my ol' 01 Supercrew out to Hidden Falls....so any other recommendations are more than welcome.

Any recommendations on where to ask some questions about the new ride would also be welcome...currently trying to solve a mystery about what was mounted on my swing gate.

Also I think it would be kinda rad if the old owner of this rig was on here. I could get the REAL history of this thing. Not just the carfax.

I was poking around the internet today and I THINK its the mounting points form the table Ford sells on the accessories site. I think its made by Tuffy. The only install video I found had silver rivnuts and these are brass....location looks right though.

Yep. A tailgate table was mounted there. I wouldn't bother trying to find the matching component to align with the existing hardware. Decide if you want a table. And if so, then decide on the style.

You will also notice the worn paint on the lower part. That was caused by the optional cargo liner shifting and rubbing the paint. Get some touch up paint if it bothers you. And then apply clear PPF on the lower part. Or just splash stickers on the tailgate and let them serve as a sacrificial PPF of sorts.

I was toying with the idea of having a local fabricator make some kind of table set up back there. I know everyone seems to LOVE the whole MOLLE thing but I would rather have sturdy table w/o holes. Then agoin if I could p/u something cheap that just bolts up for now that would cool too...

Now I need to go look at the 3W liners I just threw in there this afternoon....I am thinking sacrificial stickers might come sooner than later. Might do some PPF up on the hood though.

Welcome neighbor. Believe it or not there is some epic wheeling in Texas. Merus adventure park is awesome up in Amarillo. Near Mason there is Katemcy rocks and Wolfs Caves both are pretty tough wheeling. There is also a place out near Ozona Escondido draw.
