What are they using to get the value?
If CCC they find comparables in your market. Make sure all of them have the same options.
Kinda crazy they won’t let you provide Broncos off Auto trader or dealers websites.

Safeco/aka Liberty Mutual I have been a customer for 30+years and will be leaving as soon as the check clears. This is my first big claim and I have never had an at fault claim. In this case I was hit by a DUI drugged driver
Bummer. Safeco was fine with me when I totaled my 2017 Tacoma. They used Autotrader to come up with my evaluation using comparable options and miles. I was paid out more than I purchased it for actually.

CCC uses Autotrader to find comparable vehicles so don't get why they dismiss those from him lol.

So, is that also the same insurance company of the other driver? Seems to me your company should be looking out for your interests, so if they're trying to lowball you, they may have other motivations.

I disagree with the value my insurance company is placing on my Bronco. I was hit by a DUI driver and the Bronco is toast.

2021 Badlands, with 13,500 miles 2.7L auto, 4dr Lux, SAS, Hardtop, everything but leather/carpet. Race Red. I added the front bull bar (taken from my FE) and the expensive Gatorback mudflaps. I don't expect to see those add much, but it stings more when I feel the insurance company is lowballing me.

They have offered me $48k. I can't find a sub 15,000 miles 2021 Badlands LUX SAS with a hardtop for anything near that. I think it is worth in the mid fifties. Their stupid insurance software doesn't know the difference between SAS, hardtops or Lux. Softops in the Seattle area are definitely not as desirable as a hardtop.

They won't look at Autotrader and search, the refuse to look at KBB. All I have from my Ford dealer is a verbal "we would retail that at $55,500"

Other than a public adjuster, what are my definitive options to dispute their valuation?
You need to hire someone to help you set the value and help negotiate with insurance. I had this issue with someone else's insurance after they hit me. It worked well.

Buying the most expensive house on the block isn't always the ticket for resale value. Can be similar with vehicles. As you start loading all the extras on what started as a 30k or so vehicle, you've got to find someone later willing to pay you back for all that stuff. Unfortunately in this case at least the insurance company is not paying for it all.
I can’t buy the same thing for $48k, that’s the problem

It definitely sounds like a legal matter with Liberty Biberty. If you can get a good personal injury attorney that can get a settlement around 72K, you'd come out with about 55K. With your ultra low milage and the fact that it was a DUI, it should be in your favor.

You bought insurance from a cartoon character on TV? or used a local independent agent?
Totaled out 4 vehicles over 25 years with Progressive, never have I been low-balled. I left my local independent agent when he couldn't even come with-in the same ballpark of their pricing.

Seems odd.

Never seen an insurance company refuse to use local comps and be so far off too.

Ask for a copy of their valuation report, because it's not going to be difficult to protest it.

Sucks and I hope you get a good resolution. Liberty is not known as one of the better insurance companies to deal with. Sometimes it's not worth the savings.

My insurance (LM/Safeco) has already agreed to a payout of $48,300 + sales tax/registration fees. I believe that the value of the Bronco is somewhere in the mid 50s. I think they are shorting me $7,500. I have 2 options- 1) Hire a Washington State Public Adjuster - I am looking for one, or 2) get a lawyer involved. Option 2 is probably more trouble/expense than it is worth. I have been trying to find a public adjuster.

The medical/personal injury is completely separate- I had a consistent headache for 2.5 weeks and now it is intermittent. I also have hip, thigh, pelvic pain and that has been ongoing. I have retained a PI attorney who will deal with that portion of the probelm.

I just want to be made whole out of situation that I didn't cause and was the result of someone else's poor decisions.

I agree that your Bronc is being undervalued. In my experience with PI attorneys, a good one should be able to handle both the medical and auto issues, which should bump up your settlement (less fee) to an amount you need to get the $$ you want. 15 years ago I had a similar issue with State Farm, I didn't understand the options then, and didn't get a decent value for the vehicle. Good luck!

You could look into using a company like https://collisionsafetyconsultants.us/

They charge a flat fee to value the vehicle and negotiate with your insurance company. It looks like they do free consultations. In full disclosure, I have not personally used them, however they seem to have a pretty good following of satisfied customers on social media.
