@RagnarKon Can Forscan be used to program the keypad or can it only be done with FDRS?
As far as I know, on vehicles with the newer version of PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System), it can only be done via FDRS.

You're either the type of person that loves the keyless entry keypad, or the type that rarely uses it. But now that it is no longer available from the factory, seemed like a good time to record a how-to video in case you want to buy one and add it yourself.

Note that you will need FDRS in order to complete the steps, and because of that, for most people it will be more economical to simply have your dealer do it. But in case you wanted to tackle it yourself, or if you just wanted to see what the dealer actually does... now you have all the info.

Keypads can be purchased from your dealer's parts counter or HERE on Ford Accessories.

ps. If anyone in the New England area wants to have a keypad programmed for their Bronco, feel free to PM me.
Thanks for the writeup and video. I’ve missed this feature on my Bronco. Just placed my order.

I‘m in Manchester, CT; is your offer to program the keypad for people in New England still good?

I actually just sold my Windows laptop and preordered the newly announced Framework laptops with a matte screen (no more sun glare--yay!). So... not able to do anything at the moment.

But if you have a laptop and an FDRS license we can certainly meet somewhere (Manchester park-n-ride is a favorite) so you can borrow my adapter for the 5-10 minutes it takes to do it if you want.

Thank you for the offer. I have an older Windows laptop that only runs when it’s plugged in as the battery has given all it can give (I have to run an extension cord out to my Bronco when I make improvements via Forscan). and I do not have an FDRS license. I just received notice that Ford Accessories has shipped the keypad; once it arrives, I will see what my dealer can do to get it up and running.

It looks like bought the wrong one (I didn't know there was difference when I bought it). Why does remote start matter, I just want the thing to lock and unlock my doors? Will the one I bought (626A) work for me if I have remote start?

Remote start systems use a different radio frequency than non-start systems.

I don’t know why

I have 2023 Badlands with the factory installed keyless entry. I lost the instructions on how to program it with my code. Will the instructions on this video work for mine.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, I don't think these were ever factory installed on the Bronco. They were always a dealership add-on that had to be enabled via software and the keypad stuck on with 3M tape. No wiring required.

If you push 7/8 and 9/0 at the same time do your doors lock? That will let us know if the keypad has been properly programmed to the vehicle. There is no code needed to lock the doors this way if it's properly married to your Bronco.

If you pass that test you will need to program your custom 5 digit code into the keypad. In order to do that you will need the 5 digit keypad access code that came on a card with the keypad.
I hope this helps!

It was available as a factory-installed option in 2021-2023.

But it is a moot point in this case, and everything else you said was spot-on correct. The only difference between factory-installed and dealer-installed was who stuck the keypad onto the Bronco with 3M tape.

That's good to know! If it is a factory keypad, the card in the interior fuse box should have the correct 5 digit master keypad code, correct?

Nope, separate key card... even if it was installed from the factory.

The 5-digit master keypad code is only valid for those keypads hard-wired to the vehicles. The Bronco never had one, but it still has the same basic security system all Fords have, and therefore it still has a keycard.

OK @Gypsy . Looks like you are on your own to recover the 5 digit master code.
