The only true answer is that no one but Ford knows how common the issue is, and they are not going to tell us.

If yours cracks, then for you it's 100%.

Mine is good so far, but I'm keeping a close watch on it to see if anything happens before my 3/36 warranty is up.

My '24 2 door just started showing cracks under the passenger side window. 3,100 miles, garage kept, top removed once

Nobody should be purchasing 2025’s without ticking the painted or shadow black option box if you are concerned about hardtop issues. Test your luck if you wish but don’t be surprised if/when the cracks appear.
I was just saying to myself...why would anyone that is considering a 25 not get a mod top? You would be a fool not to!

And yet, we really have no proof that they are any better.

To be fair, there has never been a widespread set of complaints about the mod top like the mic top. And I don’t recall hearing any complaints whatsoever about the mod top.

Have you seen one in person? Looks alone tells you there's no comparison!
A couple. Yes, they look different and there are fewer reports of problems, but there are also much fewer of them in circulation thus far. Therefore, I will withhold judgement as to whether they are better. I hope so, but I am not (yet) convinced.

Currently have a 24 Bronco with soft top, thinking about trading it in for a higher trim level with a hard top. How common are the cracking issues on the latest models? I see videos of the tops cracking and having to be replaced only to have it happen again. Just curious to how widespread this is and if it is a big concern. Thanks

I'm curious what you are missing on your Bronco that is in the higher trims? I also have a '24 Big Bend Sasquatch. I ordered dual tops and the high package just for the heated seats. I absolutely love everything about it...except the MGV covers but I won't go there. lol. I even got used to the dash cluster.

That's a beautiful Bronco you got, love the color. What about just grabbing a Turn Offroad top for your current ride?

I have a 2024 4-door with cracks on both side around the windows. They’re fairly small so far but are spreading. I’ve taken it to my dealer twice since March but haven’t heard back from them yet, and I haven’t had a whole lot of time to push it. I need to try them again or head to a different dealer.

How is the black paint on the mod tops holding up to scratches? I take my rack on and off as needed and I could see the area where the rack rests getting pretty scuffed up.

Read through the ADV fiberglass top thread, tons of posts about how great their top is, that it doesn't leak, that the insulation looked and performed far better, that $6K was a bargain for it over the $800 OEM top option........ Then take into account how many ADV tops ever got delivered...... None(?). Things tend to get blown out of proportion here, and although my 3 year-old top has performed flawlessly, I suspect that if I went over it with a magnifying glass, I'd probably find an imperfection, that I could blow out of proportion.

Have had my ‘24 for a year and just noticed a crack on the back section at the crown edge of the roof, and middle section warping and showing more weather stripping. Just had it warrantied only took 2 wks to get but they didn’t not replace the front 2 panels. I’m in SoCal and never garaged. Hoping this new one will last longer!

My 3rd top has one crack after 2 months. I don’t see them getting any better. I haven't seen a 2 door yet that doesn't have a crack.
