Driving down the highway the center display went crazy and said that the hood was ajar and that I needed to close it immediately. The hood was completely closed when I pulled over to check. So I popped it and re-closed it. It still said ajar then disappeared. Seems to be some Computer issues with these things, hopefully not the start of more problems. Although the radio and phone have been some connection issues, seems to get messed up over bumps.... Weird

Happened to me on a really washboardy back road in Skull Valley, AZ about 4 months ago, hood was closed, and the warning stayed on till I reached my destination. Was planning on taking it to a Ford Dealer in Prescott the next morning, but the warning wasn't on and it hasn't happened since.

Welcome to the wonderful ownership of the Bronco! Same here, went away after stopping and opened the hood and of course it was closed. Gremlins...

Happened to me numerous times. Dealer replaced the latch and resolved the problem.

There is a Technical Service Bulletin to replace hood latch for your concern.

Just started happening to wife's '23 WT. Going down the highway it went off. The crazy thing is the vehicle doesn't have to be on. We were eating lunch on the patio and all of a sudden the alarm went off. The Ford Pass app alerted us that the hood had opened. Crazy that it malfunctions whether driving or not.

It’s the anti theft alarm. It should only activate when the key is off and vehicle is locked. While driving you only get a hood ajar warning on the dash.

Yes. Latch error causes hood ajar while driving, and alarm trigger when parked. Have to turn alarm off when it gets triggered.

Get it fixed by the dealer. I had same problem. They had to replace the hood latch for my Bronco, it’s a bad sensor on the latch. From what they told me it’s an involved process because the entire front grill and housing had to come off. It took my dealer 4 hours to do the work.

One thing is the issue will get worse for the alarm if it’s not fixed. I had my alarm go off even when the vehicle was parked. It was random.
