Ryan at Mabett was kind enough to send me one to see if it would fit the capable bumper, and without a lot of altering (which I haven't attempted yet) it won't work. That being said, it is a well made and nice looking bracket and if you've got the plastic or modular bumper and need a front plate...
I always park on a slight decline (the shadiest spot) so that won't work, but in 1st gear with the parking brake applied, it shouldn't lurch forward 3 times, and it never has before, but thanks for your reply!
Nope; it's in 1st, turn off, foot off clutch,, set brake, foot off brake; that's what I've always done, but I can't imagine doing it in a different sequence would make a difference, since it was off, in gear, with the parking brake on, and it still rolled forward, 3 times!
Well that sounds a heck of a lot worse than my problems, and I'm glad that you didn't crash into something! Hope you get your problems fixed and sorry that happened to you.
No remote start (I don't think it's even available for an MT), and I do park on a slight decline, but in 1st gear with the parking brake applied, there is no way the wheels should be rolling! I let it sit since it happened, but I'm going to start it up this morning and make a short trip, and...
Thanks for your reply! Parked in my usual spot and nothing under any tire, and my brother screamed at me because he had 1 foot on the ground while still sliding out of the passenger seat, and I told him it was off, in 1st gear with my foot off the clutch with the parking brake on. He was out of...
Coming back from the post office my '22 BD 2.3 MT (13500 miles) bucked a few times when shifting from 2nd to 3rd (3rd or 4th time this happened) , hood ajar message/warning a mile later (2nd time), parked when I got home and passenger window wouldn't stay up (1st time) and then exiting the...
The NHTSA is investigating Ford after saying that the "remedy" doesn't fix the leaks, and the Center for Auto Safety called it a "band-aid type recall" and said that Ford is avoiding the cost of repairing the fuel injectors. Not a good look for Ford, and this validates my first post about Ford...
Well...sure...but shouldn't they actually fix the leak!? Let's pretend you're stuck in traffic and dumping fuel and someone throws their cigarette out their window (yes, that's stupid, but so is Ford's "fix"!
Just read about a recall of 43,000 '22 and '23 Bronco Sports (including some '23 Escapes) for fuel injector leaks which could potentially cause an engine fire, and Ford's "fix" is to put in a hose to direct the leaks to the ground and do a software update so that you'll have to limp off to the...
