Agreed but it just worked for me!!Im in this predicament too, after installing my hitch. A brand new vehicle should not do this. I will give this a shot.

For then win sir thank you after getting frustrated for about an hour I remember the forum for anyone looking there is also a great video on YouTube how to install the factory wiring harness for the oem trailer hitch as well. Some dealers told me 1200 others said 700 it saved me as wellLove this forum! Installed a new bumper on my Bronco when I went to reconnect the wiring it would not work, no matter how hard I pushed. A simple squirt of WD-40 did the job! Thanks for all the ideas. By the way, took it to an auto electric shop, they couldn't figure it out either!
You all just allowed me to go to bed in peace. Same issue. Went inside pissed!!! Jump on here, found the thread. Came back out barefoot and shirtless, sprayed the wd-40, and now have working sensors again!! Thank you all!
