Hello all, ok so I installed my roof light bar and ran the wire under the window cowl where there is a notch.(didn’t wanna drill holes, run under seals or mess with siliconing anything)
It bolted back down almost flush like it was but there is a little bit of a gap as opposed to being flush against the windshield like before.
With this gap, during a heavy rain, is water going to be getting in or will it be fine and drain out?
With the way it was stock and the notch it’s looks like rain water would be getting in anyway but I just wanted some thoughts on if this is gonna cause problems or not?
Thanks!

The water seal is under the windshield. Any water that gets through the gap will drain into the engine compartment.

Ok and rain gets in the engine compartment normally and just drains out? Or will now there be increased water entering causing problems?

There is that entire large plastic piece between the windshield wipers that drains into the engine compartment as well. As well as the indent the wiper arms come out of.

Engine compartment has a plastic bezel up along the top of the firewall just for dealing with it. And it's entirely open on the underside, so ... it's fine
