1. Do the front roof panels sit at an uneven height? (Figure 1)

(1). Yes - proceed to Step 2.

(2). No - this article does not apply.

2. Remove the windshield header trim panel. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-05.

3. Locate the front center strikers, just above the rear-view mirror. Using a marker, outline the mounted position of both strikers on the body. These marks may be used to return the strikers to their original position or to show how much adjustments were made when the repair is complete. (Figure 2)

Figure 2 (Previous post)

4. Loosen all 4 striker bolts (2 on each striker) just enough to allow each striker to move. Do not completely remove these bolts.

5. Reinstall both front roof panels (leave the front strikers loose). Refer to the Digital Owner’s Manual > Removable Vehicle Components > Removable Roof Panels > Removable Hard Top > Removing and Installing the Hard Top.

6. Adjust the position of the strikers as needed to obtain a flush appearance between the 2 front roof panels. It may be necessary to hand tighten the striker bolts to hold them in place during inspections. Once flushness is achieved, test the roof latching effort to be sure it is not excessive.

7. Once correct striker placement and latching effort is achieved, tighten the front striker bolts to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).

8. Install the windshield header trim panel. Refer to WSM, Section 501-05.

9. If the original issue persists, continue with normal diagnostics found in WSM, Section 501-18B.

Is this a TSB? If so, where do I find it. My MIC top has excessive wind noise.

Im sure you can google it. If your noise is from the front this might fix. Mine is from the rear of the front panels where they meet the rear clamshell. The adjustments on this tsb actually made mine worse cause it pulls the front down tighter in turn loosening the rear. At least that what it seemed to do to mine.

I noticed a bit of wind noise coming from the gap between the roof and the aux switches. It wasn't bad, but definitely audible as speed increased.
I jammed a little microfiber cloth into that area and now it is quiet.
I almost don't want to mess with anything because overall, I think I'm pretty lucky in the MIC department.
But I did notice that the driver panel seems to sit a bit higer than passenger. And the front "lip" is even a different shape?

The front of the passenger panel (left) seems to come to more of a point where as the driver panel (right) is more squared off in the front. You can also see how it appears the driver panel is popped up a little higher than the passenger panel from this angle as well.

I have wind noise mostly from the very front above the aux switches at freeway speeds. This is the TSB 22-228. The rubber trim where the two front tops come together at the windshield. Have an appointment at Ford on Wednesday.

The TSB 22-2288 is for the wind noise coming from upfront. I have an wind issue in the back as well. Cant even talk on the freeway,

The TSB should fix that or get it closer

Yeah see I'm just worried that it I (or Ford) start messing with things, I could end up with MORE or DIFFERENT issues. Even if its not "right", I can live with my current situation right now.
Like I said, I just shoved a black towel in that little space and now the Bronco is as quiet as it can be I bet.
I'll address it if it leaks. Only had the car for a month and it is garage kept and has not seen much rain yet.
Has been through a high pressure car wash a handful of times with no issues.
But I know that sometimes it will leak when water has collected while the vehicle is parked.

You replied while I was typing or I would've quoted you too.
But see above lol I'm a little nervous (based on your experience) to get this "fixed".
I'm still just confused by the shape of the panels at the very front where it meets the seal above the windshield.
I've been wanting to pop off both tops and just take a look at them. They don't come off much since this is my wife's daily, and she doesn't want to be bothered trying to thread the tops through the OEM rack lol. I think they've been off twice, maybe 3 times?

I adjusted the strike plates lower at the center for the two front sections to get the front panels even across the front, and a little lower. The driver side had only the outboard 50 torx bolt tight, the inside bolt was about 1/4" from making contact with the plate. wth?
I also turned in all four "J hook" cam latches three turns each to get a better seal along the sides and front to pull the sections down a little more, about 1/32". That, along with with the center front strike plate adjustments (a good 1/8" lower) really helped with the wind noise, and was well worth the time. The front edges are now even, and lower (and tighter), as well as along the sides.

I have this same fitment issue and wind leak/noise at speed. This is on a 24.
The driver side removable top front is higher than the passenger side.
If I push up on the gasket while driving the wind leak goes away.

I took it into the large regional Ford dealership that I purchased it from, and they are balking. The quote I got this morning was that "our technician dont (sic) work on that". But the service advisor was going to get with the warranty admin. Unfortunately, Corpus Christi, Tx is not the place to have work done. I should have headed to San Antonio, Houston or Austin. I am in my late 60's and this has been my experience in the past.

It is a sad world when you spend 65k and it is a battle to get something fixed under warranty. Ford, who monitors this forum is trying to work with the dealership; they started a case and tried to get ahold of the service people while I was on the phone to get them moving. At first it looked like it was going to work but I may have to do this myself. :(

Hey everyone, found this thread as I am looking to solve a mic top creaking/popping noise between the two front panels. all the cleaning and lubricating the rubber doesn't resolve it. I saw the instructions the say to adjust those strike plates in the front if the left and right aren't even, and mine are definitely not. However, I can't find the instructions to remove the upper trim, to even access the bolts for the strike plates. Does anyone have those instructions? Thanks!

(51) How to remove windshield header trim | Bronco6G - 2021+ Ford Bronco & Bronco Raptor Forum, News, Blog & Owners Community

Posts on this thread talk about just removing the visor clips and pulling down the center panel. I was nervous about trying that.
The Ford instructs talk about pulling the A pillar trim. That is a lot of work.
thank you!

That's involved to just get to the striker plates, sheesh. I see why people just pulled the visor screws and flexed it, but I am nervous about breaking the plastics. Hmmm. I guess I need to decide if I feel like doing all that or just scheduling the dealer to fix it!

Thanks again

@yamabrp just an update, I went for it. Turns out, after removing the two small screws that hold the visors, pulling down the trim is easy. Just dont flex too far. But, it gives access to the t50 Torx bolts on the strike plates. Adjusted, and the popping is gone, so far.
