  1. I knew there’d be some wind noise, but this much?

This idiot ran into my wife's Grand Cherokee while we were stopped at a stop sign almost at the airport headed to Moab (last September). That is a separate story but will figure in later. I was driving a 24 Badlands SAS and it was noisy. Took it back to the dealer and they did some stuff (you...
  2. Recall: Rear Shock Absorber External Reservoir Corrosion (Safety Recall 25S01 - January 21, 2025)

Interesting about the short versus long flange biz. I have the short (see photo). My Bronco was built in July 2024: 1) So, the recall doesn't apply to my SAS (even though I got a letter and the recall is listed on my FordPass app)? 2) Anybody have a failure with these short flange ones? Thanks
  3. Recovery gear deep dive: shackles, straps and kinetic ropes, what to buy!

Link on winch you picked up? I am mainly trying to figure out what recovery kit (w kinetic rope) I need. I won't venture past easy or light moderate trails, but I thought it wise to have some type of gear on board (in addition to the fire extinguisher and first aid kit I already have). A winch...
  4. Recovery gear deep dive: shackles, straps and kinetic ropes, what to buy!

I am an old guy getting ready for a long trip (including off road) in my SAS. I don't currently have a winch. I would rather leave some $ on the table rather than take a chance on Chinese gear (the popo patty event comes to mind). After mulling it all over I was thinking this would be a good...
  5. Tired of staring out a broken windshield? Here’s what’s working for a growing crew of Bronco6G members!

I watched a couple of install videos; no heat gun is a plus. Ordered today; fingers crossed I can get it done :)
  6. Tired of staring out a broken windshield? Here’s what’s working for a growing crew of Bronco6G members!

How hard is this to install/any member insight on self-install? I have had trouble putting on phone screen protectors (without bubbles) It usually takes 2 tries. :( I do need to do it or have it done; I already have had one bulleseye repaired. Thanks, Ron
  7. MAXIMUS-3 FORD BRONCO REMOVABLE WINCH SADDLE

This winch mount sure checks all the boxes for me. Thanks for the install reviews!! The only issue I have is I am timid about drilling out the holes for the horn reinforce. (I understand a frame horn reinforcement solution is absolutely necessary).
  8. Beware of Discount Tire if you have Sasquatch wheels!

It doesn't seem to make a difference on balancing without the trim rings; or at least not a big one. My Bronco had less than 1,000 miles on it when the tires were replaced (gravel roads, I couldn't deal with the stone throwing of the OEM shoes). I was disappointed with the steering wheel...
  9. Initial Thoughts / Review on Mickey Thompson Baja Legend EXP Tires for Sasquatch Bronco

I appreciate the Legend recommend! I have been running these tires for a few weeks now: gas mileage off about 1 mpg BUT so much smoother on road AND no rock throwing (I spend much time on gravel roads) I guess the factory territories were never properly balanced (or were flat spotted). The MT's...
  10. Discount tire won't install Icon Pro wheels?

It is a different world post covid :( I used to like discount. After my last two weeks never again on the Bronco. On my wife's Grand Cherokee, a couple of weeks back one of the replaced tires wasn't close on torque (under torqued). On my Bronco, on Tuesday I had the OEM tires replaced with...
  11. Beware of Discount Tire if you have Sasquatch wheels!

Interesting on the T45. I wonder why they buggered up the screws so badly. You would think they would have had a T45. On the buggered up screws a T40 plus fit best for removal.
  12. Beware of Discount Tire if you have Sasquatch wheels!

No they butchered the screws removing the rings.
  13. Beware of Discount Tire if you have Sasquatch wheels!

LOL I didn't really notice how bad it was until I got home. And I had been there 2 1/2 hours (I had an appointment). When I got home and surveyed the damage, I had two options after I tried one of the bolts and noted the damage to the others. Worry about it all night or be sure I could get them...
  14. Beware of Discount Tire if you have Sasquatch wheels!

Reply to multiple posts- On them replacing them I don't want them touching my Bronco again at least not in the short term. Yeah, I should have removed them before taking the Bronco in. I am 69 and, to be honest I forgot about them. And I figured they would just leave them on (I had read a post...
  15. Beware of Discount Tire if you have Sasquatch wheels!

I went to a local Discount Tire yesterday to replace the OEM rock thrower tires with some Mickey Thompsons. Discount totally butchered up the trim ring bolts. I can only assume they used the wrong Torx bit. Out of 60 bolts I was able to salvage 12 to put on the spare. I would not use these for...
  16. Best Tires for a Badland Sasquatch?

Anybody running the Wildpeak AT/4s on a Badlands Sas? I am tired of the OEM tires :( I run on gravel roads, and I was just touching up the paint on the back passenger door (4 door). I have the Rokblokz and they stop most, but not nearly all of the stones. I am curious about ride/noise of the...
  17. Hardtop fitment issues

    Very good; thanks!
  18. Hardtop fitment issues

    (51) How to remove windshield header trim | Bronco6G - 2021+ Ford Bronco & Bronco Raptor Forum, News, Blog & Owners Community Posts on this thread talk about just removing the visor clips and pulling down the center panel. I was nervous about trying that. The Ford instructs talk about pulling...
  19. What is this and should I be concerned

Thanks very much! The stud was hard to see. I took off the fender extension and part of the inner liner and I saw where to place it.
