Damn I feel lucky. My ‘21 was 1.9% 48 months. Last payment coming up in November
Different times. I believe I had 2.5% when I purchased my CTS-V back in 2013/14 and around 2% when I purchased my Roush back in 2018 (used) and my credit score is 825 now.

Hopefully, Virginians will see the personal property tax on their Broncos decrease.
Move to FL. No BS personal property tax, no state income tax, soon they’ll b no property taxes. Just babes and bikinis :). So glad I left the blue states

Except it's becoming almost impossible to insure a home down there. My mom has a place there and she said home sales have stagnated, she thinks it's insurance is one of the reasons along with the property values.

How are schools paid for in FL? The money has to come from somewhere. I'm getting killed here in Illinois with home property taxes, a lot of which pays for local schools.

I've enjoyed the St Augustine area, vehicles can drive along the beach there.

Actually that is changing for the better now with insurance reforms passed in the 22-23 sessions. The effects are just now starting to positively impact property insurance rates. And it wasn’t necessarily bad weather and hurricanes; it was the plaintiff bar leeches feeding off one-way attorney fees (FL. alone among the 50 states) that allowed recovery of all litigation costs if a plaintiff prevailed in court by just ONE DOLLAR over what a property insurer offered to settle at. The amount of insurance fraud in FL has been off the charts in recent years: public adjusters, lawyers, roofers etc. that is definitely slowing. Of all the $ spent on property litigation in the US, FL had about 75% of it in 2018-2022. It was a man-made catastrophe. Long story short, it’s getting better. My house Pinellas county has doubled in value in the last five years. Paid 450,000 in 2018, now approaching 1 mil. To answer the tax issue, it’s likely that sales taxes might increase significantly to offset elimination of property taxes(just my opinion), but yeah FL is a huge tourism state so the money comes in as well from visitors at a huge rate.

Things are generally less expensive in Florida.

However, the primary funding mechanism is the Florida Education Finance Program (FEFP), which allocates funds based on student enrollment, district needs, and local property values.

Florida has a higher percentage than most states having 17% of school funding paid for by Federal government funds. There is also a state government fund that reduces some of the burden on taxpayers.

More specifically, the FEFP combines state funds, primarily generated from sales tax revenue, and local funds, generated from property tax revenue.

If you are at the Ford dealership looking at a used and a new Bronco 2.3L the salesman will certainly point the difference out to make the bigger sale 😉
They won't say a thing about it because they have no idea or don't get the benefit of the change. It is just like Mazdas cylinder deactivation, Sales people never mention it and 99% of the public has zero idea it is even a bad thing.

just for kicks I got quotes from Carmax and a couple big dealers in the area. Carmax had the best offer at $37k for my ‘24 Sas Big Bend With 8k miles
We have a '24 non-Sas Big Bend with the 7MT. That is a hell of a discount for 8k miles as I see $54k for the current '25 Sas Big Bend. When we were looking in early fall 2024 the price off of new for any available 7MTs was maybe $5-$7k less not nearly $20k. At $10k off we might have a bought a used with 75% of the mileage warranty remaining.

Its the same with most any other vehicle. Your expectations are probably unrealistic. I had Carvana give me a quote about 6 months ago out of curiosity, I was amazed, just a few thousand under the MSRP I paid 3 years ago. Having a Base model I paid only 36K works in my favor.
Carvana recently quoted me $32k on my $36k 2022 Base with 28k miles.
