You can always bring it to your dealer and ask them about it.
Personally if one of my customers had a similar concern that I was able to duplicate it, I would check to make sure the PCM is up to date and then more than likely perform something called an accelerated main control break-in procedure. In my experience that usually tends to fix a lot of intermittent odd shifting and engagement concerns.
It's basically doing the same thing the TSB outlines, just in this case it would be a normal warranty repair instead of a directed repair.
Thank you! Yes, I will bring this up in my next oil change. Now I would just give her more miles to see if things change since I still have only less than 1000 miles.

Update on my hard shifting problem. Turns out I have a bad transmission valve body with only 5K miles on the odometer. Luckily the tech was able to replicate the problem because it doesn’t happen every time the truck shifts. For those with a similar issue but the TSB procedure doesn’t seem to work, I would push them to consider the valve body.

The performance tune isn’t going to fix the concerns you listed.
And the driveshaft replacement is only going to fix a clunk feeling when letting off the brake at a stop.

The thrusting forward when coming to a stop is pretty common depending on how fast you’re trying to stop, it’s just downshifting. If start to slow down sooner it won’t typically happen as harsh.

There’s a TSB for various shifting issues that the dealership should’ve done. If they didn’t, I would bring it back and request that they do it. The main control break in procedure does a great job at fixing small shifting issues usually.

Does this apply to the 2024s, I have had mine for a week and a half and it only has 250 miles on it but the shifting sometimes seems harsh.

It hasn’t been updated for 24MY yet, I’m sure it will eventually.

With 250 miles the transmission is likely still trying to learn. I would give it a while longer and see how it reacts.

Not the smoothest automatic transmission when it comes to the downshifting slowing down to a stop. It took me a little bit to get used to. Ten gears is too much IMO. There's a reason all the German luxury brands use the ZF 8-Speed transmission which is the best automatic transmission I have ever used as it's just butter smooth upshifting and downshifting. The Ford/GM 10-speed actually feels pretty decent when you are up to speed but low gear shifting is pretty crude.

Came to a rolling stop this afternoon, engine/transmission all warmed up, heard a loud clunk as it went into 1st (10-speed) and what sounded like gear slap. I've heard this before, but usually when it's cold. Growing a little tired of it. May take it in to the dealership, although I'm sure my fault since I changed the transmission pan, giving them an "out".

I'm curious - can Forscan turn off the learning logic of the transmission in general? I'd much rather learn the transmission instead of the transmission trying to learn me. I have Forscan, just not sure if it can turn it off?

I have a 2022 big bend and notice all of the above. Specifically the lurching when slowing down only happens when im in sport mode. Never in normal mode.

The big thing that annoys me is the clunking that happens when I put it into reverse or drive or sometimes when it downshifts while going hwy speed. Doesnt always happen but its concerning when it does.
