Are You still using factory speakers all around?
Yes - I was seeing if I could get any changes before investing in new speakers. Rather by the JBL Bar if it will make a difference.

The rear speakers are not receiving full range audio and it sounds awful.

To be clear, the JBL mod I'm talking about is to have the dealer set the Bronco as if you were to use the JBL soundbar, but use the rear speakers instead. That gives full range to rear.

Oh sure! I was saying that I did the Forscan changes - tried all the ones listed, and no better results.

I'm just going to buy the JBL speaker - money isn't really an issue for me on this expense - just want decent sound.

To be honest, just swap all the speakers, and then get a small sub (Kicker Hideaway) and this will solve all your problems for a lot less money.

I do too but I feel like soundbar blocks too much rear view.

Lol. I'm not worried about the rear view honestly. I used to drive a Prius with almost no rearview lol.

I honestly just don't like doing after-market stuff to new cars in warranty. And $1,000 isn't a big deal for not having to have someone tear into the brand new car.

It's plug and play. Ford literally won't say a word about changing speakers and adding a sub. It's no different than adding off-road lights to your vehicle.

Yeah - except the subwoofer running wires and pulling panels - stresses me out on a new car.

It's still going to block the sound. You won't have full range until you get that flash. Anyone in the pgh area. Get the soundbar, flash ur car and return the bar. I'll buy said bar for cheap do the same thing and return it 😂

It's blocking the sound because the factory 4" speakers, front and rear, have bass blockers on them still. Lots of posts of people opening up the bottom end of the rear channel speakers with ForScan. With the factory rear speakers, it's just barely noticeable... Drop in an aftermarket speaker, poly-fill the pod and be done with it.

Any of you rear speaker nuts think about installing a resistor in parallel to reduce your speaker ohms to 2 ohms from 4 ohms

So I'm trying to follow this thread here, but seeing 2 different options.
1. Use forscan and increase volume to rear speakers (in a nutshell from what I gather).
2. Get dealer to do the JBL soundbar flash and fully unlock rear speakers. Also this method would allow to add speakers in rear using rear wiring.

Does any of that sound correct?
