After fill ups, the fuel gauge never shows its completely full. It's been doing this as long as I owned it, but though I'd ask if there is a fix for it since it's been annoying me more than anything. Has anyone experienced this?

I dunno, the fuel thing is always blinking and beeping at me. I put $3-5 in each week to shut it down. Full must feel nice.

lol

I’ve heard of this happening after people fidget with the fuel tank but not from the factory. May be worth just checking out the float / sensing unit

Mine never shows full.
I've had fuel literally pouring out from the fill tube and it still shows slightly below full.
I've had to drop my fuel tank twice though.
🤷‍♂️

I'm having issues as well. I fill up and it reads anywhere from 403-418 miles until empty, then I drive a mile and it drops to 360 miles until empty. I'm checking about any recalls with my dealership this week and will talk to them about it. I've driven over 400 miles on one tank, so this is squirrely. I will post any updates. **multiple oil changes and 20-point check ups haven't yielded any information.

I noticed on mine yesterday, I filled up, and it went to 329 miles (normal).

It stayed at 329 miles for ... almost 80 miles. And full tank. First time I had noticed it getting kinda stuck. By the time I had got to my destination (about 200 miles), it had evened out to about where I thought it should be though.

I remember my 96 ranger used to sit at "Over full" for almost 200 miles, then it would finally drop down to hit the F, drop to half a tank over another 150 miles, then that last half tank you could almost watch the needle fall. But it was consistent that way.
