^^^^^ This is the way. Nice piece. Easy mount. Made in the USA. Small business. Win, win, win. Plus you get a high quality plate mount for around $40, instead of $80 or $100.
I have the DV8 one but did not enjoy paying $80 or $90 or whatever it was for it. Had I known of the HBTFD one I would have definitely bought that.

I stand corrected. Not sure why I remember
paying $80 for it. Also was not aware of the forum discount. Where do I find the code

DV8 plate mount is like $50 and they offer a forum discount of 10%.

I liked the DV8 mount since it’s pretty stout and holds the plate at angle. Not sure if that is a problem legally for license plate readers.

Love it! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks. We've got a lot of Ford dealers that send their customers to us for them. Even a few who stock them to provide to their customers.

Valkyrie...

It bolts to existing modular holes and angles slightly downward...IMHO the ideal solution. Selling mine because I added aftermarket bumper and winch with a flipster plate mount over the fairlead.

easy to install?
If you are installing on a Bronco Raptor, I will say that you need to do a couple of things in order to keep some level of separation between the mounting plate and the skid plate. I purchased a set of medium hard rubber spacers size for M8 screws and used the 10 mm spacers to pull the bracket slightly off the bumper, part of the reason I needed to do that was because instead of using the screws and nuts provided by DV8, I opted to install RivNuts into the mounting holes. So I needed a little bit more clearance, some people said with their modular bumper they were able to use the factory bolts to put things back. But if you add those spacers, you absolutely need to buy longer M8 bolts to go back into place.

So at the end of the day no it's not difficult. You just need to know this going in. Otherwise you'll get frustrated with just taking 2 screws out and trying to bolt it back in place and not being happy with the overall fit and finish.

I’m planning on using on my Black Diamond with a capable bumper. Probably easier?
