I’ve searched and not found a good thread.
Is there a way to activate the front camera with tire lines in 2wd? I know it works in a few goat modes but all require 4wd.
We are spending our first 2 weeks in Moab with our 24 Bronco Raptor. There have been a few times already on steep switchbacks I couldn’t see over the hood. Activating off road goes to 4hi and locks the rear differential. I can unlock it but can’t shift to 2wd. This particular areas were gravel roads where 4wd seems overkill and potentially harmful to the Bronco. The camera is awesome.

If you are going slow enough, you can toggle the camera on/off no matter what GOAT mode you are in. You won't have the tire tread overlay in 2WD.

I did search here as well as google. I must not have used the correct wording. Thanks for the links!

Thanks. The speed limiter is the issue I’m sure as well as having to look off trail to hit the camera button. Some of these climbs are unknown even at slow speeds. Would be nice to just have the display on to reference when needed.

Closest thing is Baja mode then switch to 2WD. Front camera, but no lines

Using the cameras exclusively for navigation is considered hazardous. There should be a spotter outside guiding the driver. I say this with the experience of watching a Braptor flip 180deg on it's top while navigating only with the front camera over a large hump. Life flight was involved.

Good point.

Since we're on the topic, allow me to air one of my grievances pre-Festivus...

If you are acting as a Ground Guide (AKA "Spotter") and you have elbows, you are a complete POS if it looks like you're trying to "tickle" your prom date. The reason you are there is to clearly communicate with the driver of a multi-ton death machine how to avoid life flight, dying, or killing you or other spectators.

Some random online examples:
Ford Bronco Front camera in 2wd? 1000033565

Ford Bronco Front camera in 2wd? 1000033566

Ford Bronco Front camera in 2wd? 1000033567

Yet almost every video I see online has someone practicing for the Sapphic Tech Deck Olympics.

I love the "finger bicycle" approach.
