a license (i.e. subscription) to FDRS is $1200 a year, $300 for 30 day, $120 for 3 days.

I won't say that is reasonable, but it is not $18 a crush washer pricing...more like $8 dollar a crush washer

I have never purchased/used FDRS so maybe there is more to it, like having to pay $20k a year for your ASE license or some such before you can get access to FDRS

EDIT: Maybe you have to spend $1800 on one of these before you can even use FDRS :

All you need is an adapter that will work with FDRS and the software license.
The VCM 3 is the top of the line adapter, but you don't need to use that. There are far cheaper alternatives that will work.

Also, the two is really closer to 3 Day. How the time works.

If you bought it on Saturday it expires Monday night at midnight going into Tuesday.
You get two full days

Considering the website you linked is dealerconnection, which is Ford's internal website for dealerships, that price may be for dealers only. I've never needed to pay for a license though so I'm not sure.

That's the only option it gives you on motorcraft's website.

This will not work anymore. Click the links and go through the motions as if you wanted to buy a license and you will see what I mean. That is the old link from when you used to be able to buy a license key. Now, it is subscription based and governed by the new cybersecurity methods they implemented.

Yea, that's more or less when they started with this crap. The new system is garbage. The new AI cybersecurity system is banning people's accounts left and right for the slightest infraction. In some cases, accounts are getting banned for no reason at all.
