Well RoverDude, I have been looking for something like this. I will give it a try today. All I got was the running lights working right now. You seem to know your forscan and we appreciate it. If I have anymore problems I will let yo know.
I got it to work. Thanks for posting the info. I now have all lights working on my 2025 Badlands SAS. Thanks again!
Sorry for the late reply, very busy today. I installed the receiver, 4/7 pin connector and the trailer module myself. My 2025 Badland SAS had the wire to connect the module to the plug out back. So it was sort of plug and play then programing with Forscan. All in all I think I have a total of around $300 and Ford wanted around $750.
Thanks for this. I tried this on my 2025 Base, but ended up with a code that I couldn’t remove. Something about “lost contact with trailer control module”? Sorry, should have written it down. I reverted all changes to saved backups and all is well … except trailer module is still not enabled, of course.
If you don't have a specific module there's nothing to code for those. (Ignore them, because they don't exist for your model configuration)
The error was this: U0137, "Lost Communication with Trailer Brake Control Module".
Just got back to this. I started from scratch and followed these instructions again, but it still leaves this DTC code that I cannot reset. As indicated, when I start the car the check-engine light does NOT come on (“Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC”). But I’ve tried to reset it and re-read DTS and it’s still there:
