DIY OEM trailer harness module activation 2021 Bronco

I've installed a hitch and the OEM trailer harness myself but understand that the module needs to be activated using FORScan or FDRS. Dealership is charging $225 just for the computer work since the installation is already done. Is there a way for me to do this myself?

Can be done yourself with FDRS. I have a FDRS intro video here. The actual trailer package activation steps take like 10-15 minutes at most, it's stupid easy, and you probably already have the instructions if you installed the tow package yourself.

Can also be done with Forscan. It's obviously not the Ford-supported method, it's not super straight forward, and you also have to deal with the usual Forscan jank and bugginess. (I spent 3 hours over labor day weekend fighting Forscan before eventually giving up.) BUT, it's the most economical option.

Thx, RagnarKon. I've seen some of your other videos and they're really helpful. From what I know, the 2 day FDRS subscription is a hair cheaper than paying for dealer install but with the priceless satisfaction of a DIY project.
