Considering the governments of the world are regulating ICE vehicles out of the market, is anyone surprised?

and last year Ford sold a whopping 27,140 EV's in the U.S. - Total ! ! . .

so they really, really know what they're doing
- going 600,000 next year
- and going 2 Million by 2026

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

" In March, Farley boosted spending on EVs to $50 billion and set a plan to build 2 million battery-electric vehicles annually by 2026, after selling just 27,140 in the US last year. "
whats sad is there is no math on earth that supports the idea we have enough energy to switch our transportation system to electric

Right now every "kilowatt hour" is generated via gasoline in your engine , now imagine that suddenly being produced by the grid. There simply is not enough juice to do this

I have a feeling if this happens too fast (which it is) we will see the government slam the breaks on electric cars in 5 years because we simply do not have the capacity

Don't care. I have 10 ICE vehicles right now, 3 new ones, so I can drive petroleum fueled vehicles till I'm on the wrong side of the grass.

Yeah, 600,000 by 23, They can't even build the orders they have now due to chip hold or supply chain BS. How the hell can you build something that has even more chips in it. You can't keep up now.

I had to chuckle the other day I saw a report that showed some gal with the EV and plug it in the receptacle and when asked where the power came from she paused and got the "I don't understand" look in her eyes and said, " Why it comes from the building". 🤪 It just so happened that the head of the public works was there so the reporter asked him and his response, " Well it comes from the local plant that uses coal to generate the power" :cautious: It just goes to should how clueless most of these clowns are as to how this all works. WTF are these people smoking???? I want some of that because it must be good shit.:ROFLMAO:

remember year ago when MAP was gonna ramp up and make 1,200 Broncos a day ?

and now they still have trouble to make 400, or 300 a day that work - ever since

Oh yes, I remember it well. "We will have all the reservations built by the end of 22". I was all pumped at hearing that and thinking maybe I will finally get a build date from my Aug 2020 reservation. Only to be destroyed months later with the bla, bla, bla, of excuse after excuse. :(

Exactly. Not to mention upgrading an entire country’s power grid to handle the extra demand is billions, if not trillions, of dollars and decades of work. And good luck meeting that demand using only renewable energy sources

Looks like they still have a lot of work to do after the debacle with the Mach-E batteries. Also what are people supposed to do who live in an apartment and cannot plug their cars in overnight? The charging infrastructure is way behind. Hopefully if we are being pushed this direction they will come up with a wireless charging network built into major roadways.

more than 5-years now Toyota has been selling Prius, and they're still hovering around 50,000 a year in U.S.

but Farley knows better than Toyota, for sure

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
His figures are certainly pie in the sky, but the Prius has a bit of a stigma and a limited target audience. Ford is at least trying to make desirable EV models.
