Let's be real some offroaders will be getting their interiors more soaked in water and mud. Most "flood vehicles" aren't water logged nor submerged especially one as high up as this. It's very likely someone was desperate and overpaid , they had gap insurance and an opportunity presented itself to "bail" out.
Agree 100%
but there are also people out there looking for a reason to sue someone

Looks like several salvageable parts. What a shame.

Quite a fe salvagquite A few salvable parts. This salvage yard missed out . But then again they didn’t want to mess with it.

Our Broncos can wade in 33.5" or more of water (while running). No one asked just how much water this must have been in to be considered flood-destroyed.

Not sure what state this was, or what flood event it was related to, but often state authorities require flood vehicles to be crushed to avoid title fraud downstream, so to speak. You know, lifting VINS and washing titles across state lines. This was the order with Katrina back in the day. Typically, catastrophic events with significant volume of flood damaged vehicles. So yeah, given fact that body panels carry VINS, it probably had to be crushed. Or maybe I’m completely wrong about this one.
There were still a ton of VIN-free parts that could have been removed and sold. Parts that likely would have been perfectly fine. Unless that very neat-and-clean looking Bronco was totally submerged.

Right, but if it is to be crushed then the whole thing is crushed.

Except, not really. Wheels and tires are missing. I wonder about the drivetrain. And interior. Normally for recycling, after removing fluids, most non-metal parts would be separated. Someone further up said "the owner" demanded it be crushed. If this was an insurance write-off, the owner would no longer be the one who purchased the vehicle, but the insurance company. Insurance companies deal with total loss vehicles multiple times a day, and those are very frequently salvaged for parts. That's how all those used part companies get their parts. Anyway, there seems to be a lack of information and a lot of speculation about this particular vehicle.

I can’t say what kind of flood car the crushed Bronco was. But your “comparison” is like apples and hammers.

Why do I bother recycling my cardboard and pop cans when it’s completely acceptable to crush a car that could have been stripped for parts and largely reused? Watching this hurts. I could have grabbed every panel and door off this thing to keep as backups.
Amen!!
