Fishing Rod holder

I used the trailrax mount and mounted a rod holder to it.
It was like.... really easy.
Plus it looks like I have cannons mounted to my hood.

Any better rod holder mods?

This looks too easy! Is there a reason to do this and not place them inside the Bronco in some sort of roof mount? I have a soft top coming, so there is an obvious reason not to. Just wondering if there is an internal option you have or have seen. I would hate for someone to swipe my Zebco 33 from Walmart…

@MVBB , can two trailmax mounts be attached opposing on the same trail site? That could get four rods up.

That is what I'm working on now...
All that is needed a small flat metal bar with 2 holes. 1 hole attaches to the mount (and a rod holder), the 2nd hole for a 2nd holder. Could even go 4 wide. The problem with the trailsight mounts is that they have to mount on the outside - otherwise the hood hits it when you try to open it.

I gotta say…for popping from spot to spot - this is a great solution. Adding a quick release knob under… Now I’m kicking myself for not jumping on the introductory price for the mounts.

Not much room and I worry about the hooks in the soft top. Top off, you could mount a roof rack. Haven't taken the top off yet

I have the holder held on by a single nut and bolt. I keep the allen wrench in the car and can pop the holder on/off quickly. The trailsight bracket stays on permanent

Nice, if you put a bar across maybe you can use quick release pins to get the hood open if you had to.. I have my air compressor in the engine bay so I went with a front mounted rack.
