Just put mine on last weekend and have had it open everyday since then. It's easier than removing and storing the t-tops on the hardtop. Plan was to switch back to the hardtop in the winter but not sure if I'll stick with the plan.

Took me about 3 hours to install by myself. Followed the video and it was a breeze. Had to loosen up the pivot bolts, I had them pretty tight and then realized when I was opening it I need tp loosen them or start working out more. Side windows are tight but if you let them sit in the sun they are easier to install.

Nosier than the hardtop (slightly) but only took a day to get used to it. I do have the sound dampening on my hardtop so can't compare it to the normal one.

Yes, at stoplight rain will come, but at speed it should have pretty good coverage, obviously at the sides rain will trickle in.

but good "bikini" style and 100% waterproof material. If you want full rain coverage, then a trektop/softop is the way to go. If you want 90% coverage and emergency help then a bikini works and is a hella of a lot cheaper and fits in glovebox / under seat :)

Waterproof video:

My Bronco is scheduled and once it is actually paid for, I will plan on ordering the bikint top. Thanks for the info

Thanks for letting me know about the windows. I use to like it better with old Jeeps where you could simply unseal, unbutton the top and pull the whole thing off in less than 1 minute and throw it in garage and take-off without it no a nice day, instead of doling everything up and watching scratches on windows, etc.

Do the Trektop windows sometimes take a few minutes to seal?

That would drive me crazy if the fit is that tight that it becomes a 10 minutes chore each time I open and lower it.

So far I love my soft top….my 1 and only complaint is it doesn’t fold all the way back when opened up….but other than that it’s the best soft top I’ve had on any bronco, Jeep or samurai I’ve owned. I will go back to the mic top September/October.

yes - It would be so nice if there even was a bag or something you could pull over it real quick when it is folder all the way back, but thanks for the feedback as trying to decide if I should order one or simply keep an older truck for when it is raining, etc.

@VailDan The first time the windows were tight and hard to seal up, now they are a breeze to install. It takes about 5-10 seconds per window

I LOVE the Trektop. Before I got it, I was on the fence because of the way it lays on top. Now that I have it, I actually like it and think it's better than blocking My vision on the back. I did take it off in late fall and it's actually going on my 2nd 2 door

I also have the twill Trektop and love it. I’ve had it for a little over a year and didn’t even bother to switch back to the hard top this winter. My personal favorite way to roll with it is in ā€œsafariā€ mode.

**includes pic not in safari mode** 😁

So, what do you do with the windows when you take them off? I had a roll bag for my JK's stock soft top windows.

Sunrider was the best option for us as we have two dogs and the Bronco is our primary dog hauler and daily driver. Ease of rear access was paramount so the Sunrider was the best option/ compromise. I had a Wrangler with a soft top and accessing the back was a real pain with having to zip and unzip the rear window all the time.

3 sec to flip back and forth as needed.

Thanks! I think the windows don't roll like my JKs because of the way they attach. I would probably rig some way to secure this to the underside of the TrekTop in Safari mode to keep it as out-of-the-way as possible.
I feel the same. There was another top I saw recently. It’s $1000 and has the onboard window storage. @mcinfantry build thread has some pics.

I thought it through a lot

here in south Louisiana (I’m bald) I always run at minimum a jtop

so I’m headed to Moab and don’t want to bring the hardtop and take it off in the hotel

so I looked at soft tops

1) I wanted something to do ā€˜safely’ with the side panels and back, and the Havoc/rampage stores them IN THE TOP

2) I can’t stand the way the Bestop doesn’t fold flat, but also realize even if it did I still wouldn’t know that I would fold it back

3)the rampage top folds back on itself so no bird crap or weathering going on under the top

4) I can take the whole top off, I think relatively easily

5) price

Any thoughts on Bestop twill vs vinyl? Looks like twill option adds $400. I wonder if twill will collect more dust/dirt on the less smooth fabric finish?
