First post to this forum! I am the proud new owner of a 2022 Wildtrak with ~ 18K miles. It came with the certifed blue warranty, which is expiring shortly.

I know there have been tons of ESP posts, but it looks like its been awhile, or atleast they seem to have significantly increased in price over the last 1-2 years

I shopped around and it looks like my only options for a used ESP (past factory 3 years) are through Ziegler and Granger. For a 5 yr/75K (based on warranty date, not orignal purchase/0 miles), its looking like ~ $4K (w/ $200 deductable and including keys and lights). I am leaning towards Ziegler because they have 6 or 12-mo interest free payment option.

Based on experience - are people actually getting value out of thier PremiumCare? do repairs actually get covered under the warranty? and is $4K worth it for 2031/93,000 miles?

I have never bought an ESP (and havent regretted it)...but I love my Bronco and plan to keep it for awhile. So, i'm feeling like I should pull the trigger but $4K seems steep.

I appreciate any thoughts or personal experiences.

$4,000 seems really expensive for 5 year/75k miles.. have prices really increased that much??

I paid $1,800 for a 7 year/100k miles ESP, but that was back in 2022.

It would be hard to justify that much of a price increase.

Edit: I totally read past the 2022 with 18k miles part. I’m assuming that makes a difference. I bought mine brand new.

5 years ESP I thought is from the in service date of the vehicle? That gets you what, 1 more year for the 22MY? That isn't worth it IMO. I just got an ESP right before my 3/36 was up, 9 year 75k, and it wasn't anywhere near $4k.

Edit: Just realized for used vehicles its contract purchase date not in service date.

4k is pretty steep. I don't think I would do it for that price.

I thought it was from the date the vehicle was delivered. So for me it would be April 2023.

I get mixed information from Granger website. The FYI says the clock starts ticking when the Bronco is delivered, the original in-service date and mileage, April 2023 for me.

But somewhere else they say for a used Bronco it starts when the contract is purchased. I'm a low mileage driver so I'd get the 60,000 mile, 10 year plan for $2035. So I'd have coverage until 2016 and just add 60,000 miles to my current odometer reading for mileage?

I could almost justify that.

For original owners that are adding an extended warranty before the factory 3/36 expires, you are basically extending the factory warranty, relative to your purchase date and mileage. So, yes, for your case, the 10/60 extension would give you coverage until 2033/60,000 miles

That's my conundrum. Low mileage but over the 3 year mark, which nulls the factory warranty. I wonder if I am better off waiting until further down the line when things are presumably more likely to fail?

For the folks considering buying used vs. new....there appears to be a signficant cost between between buying an ESP for "used" bronco vs. extending the factory warranty with PremiumCare, for example, before the factory warranty expires.

Another thing I learned is that there is also a difference in certified pre-owned status. For example, mine came with Certified "Blue" from the dealer, which is 90 day/4,000 miles. There is a better CPO tier called Gold, which is 12 mo/12,000 miles. There cost of PremiumCare ESP on a Gold CPO is almost $1K cheaper than Blue CPO.

How many miles do you have now? Have you had any significant issues with your MY22 WT?

Any other MY22 WT owners with higher mileage out there with horror stories to scare me into paying $4,000 for 5 yr/93,000 ESP?

Like 72k. I haven’t had any major issues at all, just a few small things here and there.
