The same thing happened to one of the service managers at my local Ford dealer who owns a Bronco. He was not sure what to due about it. I will inquire and see if he came up with a remedy.

I called Injen a few days ago to ask about their CAI and they mentioned it would have a CEL; I think he said it was related to a sensor Ford had added to the 23 models. I think its the same sensor that causes the CEL with dual catch cans (CCV side?).

I contacted injen here is there reply.
Hello David,

I am sorry for the issues you are experiencing with our Injen Technology
product.

Our EVO9301 kit is not a direct fit for the 23' year models at the
moment. When we first released this kit, we had it listed as a direct
fit. We took this off of the direct fitment a few short days later, as a
CEL for the CCV line was thrown. The P04DB code is related directly to
the CCV line and we are still working on a fix. Ford has released a few
TSB's to try and fix their side of the issue, which included replacing
the CCV line, running a flash and a few other things. Some customers
were able to get their CEL to go away with Ford's TSB's, but some to no
avail. We currently have a 23 2.7L Bronco at our R&D location and they
are doing further testing. Once we come up with a fix for the 23'
Bronco, we will send out a notification through our newsletter.

If you do plan to run this intake system, you will see no performance
issues. The P04DB code is an emissions CEL.

Any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask.

Best regards,
Nate Crouch

These cold air intake companies claim no tune is required. In 2006 I installed one of these intakes on my 2006 Mustang GT . It threw a code associated with the intake stall. That intake is currently and has been sitting in a box for the last seventeen years.

There is an update from Ford about a module that needs to be updated. It's a TSB update. It's for the 23's. With that module updated, there are no more code being thrown. This update also fixed the issue with Mishi catch can throwing the same code.

I've had the software update and the pressure sensor changed out by my dealership and my code keeps coming back. I've also removed the CCV side of the catch can and put the stock Ford tube back on. I believe it is the Injen CAI that's causing the issue. I hope Injen figures something out because Ford has not figured it out.

Yep, What a pain in the effing ass! Ford needs to take that f****** sensor and stick it where the sun don't shine. They know people want to add aftermarket parts, simple things like CAI, catch cans, exhaust systems etc. So anyone with a 23 model year and 2.7 engine basically is screwed if they do anything to their vehicle because Ford's just going to say oh well shouldn't have added anything to it. My dealer has been pretty cool up till now, but I know they don't want to see it back because they realize the aftermarket parts are causing it and there's nothing else they can do at this point. 🤯

Injen needs to be stepping up on this.

Honestly, I am not sure what Injen can do. I have the system and have zero codes. So does a friend who has a 22. 23 comes around and Ford changes something, nobody knows what exactly, and now things such as dual catch cans and intakes throw a code.

That is not an Injen issue unless they take apart the entire intake and design it to bypass that sensor?

I get what you're saying and I'm not sure what they can do. But in the beginning they advertised that it worked on 23 model years and several of us bought them and now have issues after they are installed. Hopefully they can come up with something that works or hopefully Ford will address it more than they have because what they've done so far hasn't actually worked.
