Electronic sway bar- having one shipped?

I'm in the process of having an electronic sway bar shipped to me. I decided to do the add-on like a couple of other members here have done. When I originally went for to buy a Bronco I had my heart set on a Badlands. Long story short, couldn't get one wound up with a wild track.
The shop that has the sway bar wants to see try and take the ears off of the sway bar to reduce the overall size of the package they're shipping.
I'd rather they didn't try and just pay a little extra for the shipping. Is what they're trying to do a big No-No?
Without actually having laid hands on one, I can't tell them whether to attempt it or not. I did say if it is possible to index it so it goes back together correctly.

In theory they should be able to mark the alignment of the arms with the shaft using a sharpie or paint pen. Personally I'd rather see it shipped as an assembly though.

Off topic: I dragged my feet too long and didn't snag one of these when they were readily available at a reasonable price. It looks like p/n MB3Z-5482-C is no longer available - anyone know the current p/n?

From what I was told they were on back order. The dealer I usually work with told me there were two on the shelf somewhere in Austin Texan checking inventory
I didn't want to spend the the 2200 so I was trying to save that as the last option. The one I found came off of car-part.com

I was a little freaked out considering how hard these things are to get to begin with but @StinkBug said just try to order it. OK!
Paid for it yesterday at 3:00 p.m. got the call 9:00 a.m. this morning. It's here!
I already have the eBay female end supplied with contacts and heat shrink. And some Amazon silicone fire hose.
Let the fun begin!!!
Only downside is I just finished putting on the Next Venture belly skids, oops.

I haven't installed it yet. I have some other parts coming and want to do a one and done before taking it out of service Even though it's not a daily driver

That is the one I ordered… it was correctly described as a direct replacement for the electronic sta-bar system. A replace for the previous model part number ending in a “C” or “w” which was the original part number for the disco… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's the crappy stock pics Revolution uses until Ford releases stock images to pull over or the dealer actually takes a pic and uploads it to their site.
