@Dfinch218 Post or send me the VIN. I have access to Ford's PTS and FDRS systems. If your Fordpass is activated, I can see the codes it is reporting to the cloud and any TSB's or recalls associated with them.

DM me your VIN and I'll check the VHR. Very likely the battery and if it was sitting for an extended amount of time on the lot or one of Ford's storage yards they will discharge. AGMs are very difficult to get back from a deep discharge unlike lead-acid.

Since this is warranty, likely the battery, they'll have to put it on a diagnostic charger to either bring it back from the dead or call it bad. The machine generates a specific code for a failed battery we have to get or Ford won't pay the claim.

I know this sucks but call and see if they'll let you bring the battery in, put it on the charger and see if it fails right away. It's entirely possible the thing goes though a recovery process which could take hours before calling the battery bad but at least something is getting done. We've done this for customers before when the vehicle is not drivable or we're just too backed up and can't get on immediately.

Also, call your salesperson and see if they can pull any strings either on the loaner side or call in an IOU with service. Frustrating for everyone involved.

All cars with Auto Start/Stop come with AGM batteries.

This is what you need to do. Forget calling and go see the service desk face to face. They will give you an entirely different “ when we can look at it” time frame. I recently had to take my Mustang forvacwatrantybrepair. Over the phone I was told two months. Next day I went in person and was told bring it in tomorrow.

Wait what... Broncos come with an AGM battery from the factory!?!
70AH without 120V outlet, 80AH with outlet and all V6(I think), both AGM. Odd that they bother putting a smaller one in when they cost the same.

"The level of whining is ridiculous." C'mon man. It's a brand new vehicle and the dealership sounds like total douchebags. I think the OP has a right to whine about it. Your solution: go spend MORE of your money to figure it out. Uh.... NOPE.
No, I didn't suggest he spend money, although I did expect the OP to at least own a multimeter or be able to get a free battery test from AutoZone. I suggested he ask our community for help, and that's what several members have offered to do.

Heh. Who wants to tell him?
When I had an issue, the Ford account responded to me in the same way, as soon as I let the dealership know that a claim was already filed they were able to get it fixed fast. Respond to the Ford account and get the ball rolling!

I am the owner of a brand new eruption green Badlands. The very next morning after bringing it home, it was dead in the driveway. The battery had lost its charge over night. I thought it must have been something I had done, like leaving it in accessory mode or something like that. I put it on a charger and brought the battery back up and everything started working again. I left it overnight again to find a low battery again the next morning. Not dead, but very low. Now along with all of this, it is doing all kjnds of weird stuff. The interior lights will not come on and there is a host of warning lights that come on. Also the brake light stays on all the time, and the brakes themselves are doing weird things. When you apply the brake pedal the parking brake engages and when you release the pedal the parking brake release. So, if you put it in reverse and start backing up and press the brake pedal the bronco comes to a slamming stop. Neck jerking actually. This bronco will not stay charged if left sittting for more than 24 hours.

About 3 days into ownership, I called the dealership that i bought it from and explained the problem. I was told by them that they could not even look at it for 3 weeks! Okay fine, I asked if i could arrange for a loaner car. I was told that Ford or the dealership does not offer loaners, but that they could help arrange a rental for $55.00 a day!

About a week into ownership, I decided to do a little research on this issue. It seems like this is a very common issue with Broncos and many of them cant be repaired. Or they just blame the owner for doing something to it.

I am sick over this, I just want to turn back time and make this whole thing go away. It is so disgusting to bring home a brand new car that breaks down the first day and you have to wait to get it fixed and provide your own replacement transportation. Please help me understand this.
was this resolved at the dealer? my 23 black diamond having very similar issues. Battery tests fine. Had to have it jumped 2x. Had it for 9 months

I don't know about the Pac NW, but here in Phoenix a dead/shot battery right off the lot is not uncommon.

Made my dealer install a new battery in the wife's F-150 before we drove it off the lot.

But, in this case, it's likely a loose connection at the big fuse box under the hood.

Yeah. They need an expensive AGM for the stupid AS/S. Most people worry about their starter with the Start/Stop, but it's really the battery that gets murdered by constantly starting the vehicle.

I think all Fords now ship with AGMs for this reason.

Good afternoon, Jim. Would you please send over a private message with your VIN and dealer info so I can look into this concern with your Bronco?
