  • Ford is recalling another 312,120 vehicles, this time over an issue with the electronic brake booster.
  • The recall population is split among 2025 Ford F-150, Expedition, Bronco, Ranger, and 2025 Lincoln Navigator models, with the majority—217,969—being F-150 pickups.
  • In affected models, the electronic brake booster model can enter a faulted state while driving, creating a total loss of brake boost.

This is where the remote Ford service works well. I had my wiper flash update done in my driveway.

If it were only that easy, they can just send the update to the vehicle. Apparently not an option but I don’t understand why.

Oh, joy indeed. Initially I thought the press releases said an OTA update was possible for some. Maybe they decided this is too much of a liability for them to leave it unchecked by a dealer.

Not every update is capable of being an OTA update.

To be fair, I just scheduled my remote service appt for it to go do the update at my fiances work. It's an update to the abs module apparently, takes 30-45 minutes is what I was told.

I definitely agree it’s more of a CYA for Ford
