I have a set of Eibach 2.0 coilovers waiting to go on and it's good timing to do the rear shock skid plates... I really want to go with MetalCloak's - but have not been able to confirm whether they will fit with the Eibachs.

Does anyone have this combo?

I know DV8 will fit & Barnes w/some slight grinding... but I really would like to go with MetalCloak. They could not confirm anything other than stock fitment when I contacted them.

I have the Eibachs and can confirm that the Barnes skid will fit with a minimal amount of grinding to open up the opening on the bottom of the skid so that the bottom of the shock clears. Looking at the Metalcloak skids I don't think they will work as there is no opening on the bottom of the skid...the bottom of the shock most likely will interfere.

I'm soon to have the Next Venture/Eibach 2.0 combo. Can't speak for Metal Cloak, but Tyler @ Next Venture confirmed their NV-FBR-00058 skid would fit with the Eibachs on my truck. I didn't want to have to grind anything or loosen any bolts. Seems like the ones that say "don't work with HOSS 3.0" are due to the reservoir located at the bottom of the shock body whereas HOSS 1, 2.0, and Eibachs have no reservoir to make the skid not fit.

Anyway, this is what I got: https://nextventuremotorsports.com/...co-u725-2021/products/bronco-rear-shock-skids

I just added the Next Venture Motorsport shock skids this afternoon. I first sprayed them gold to match some accent stuff I've done (yes, I know they're going to get scuffed). The fitting was tight as the item description said it would be. I was following the video instructions on how to rotate the skid to get it on, and it helped a lot. The only thing that would have made this installation easier would have been if it were 20 degrees cooler outside.

I did not have to grind anything with the dv8 skids. I like that they cover the trailing arm mounts as well.
