Needing to do the window re-set nearly every day. Is there a software upgrade that I don't know about? Anyone have a home remedy?

Every day? Sounds like the track is binding or something. If the motor feels so much resistance, it'll stop the window from rolling up/one touch, etc.
You didn't adjust them because of rattling did you?

Mine was doing this for about a month and the regulator motor failed eventually. Sounded like the gears broke. Repair was $750, covered under my extended warranty. I think cold weather and just slamming the door closed is beating up the entire assembly. Maybe put window down before closing? Seems like the the frameless design has the glass moving around a lot when you close.
My driver side rear window was like that since I bought the truck. One night driving home from work I put it down for something (it was really cold and I don't remember why I lowered it) and it didn't go all the way back up. Subsequent attempts to lower/raise had it stop lower every time until it was just down all the way.
Ended up taking the door into the house (again, really cold that night) and testing it with a standalone battery and it went up and down fine so it was definitely the computer detecting binding and thinking it was a kid's head or something like that.
I sprayed lube into the cable sleeves and ran the window up and down to ensure it coated the cable, reinstalled the door, put the window all the way up via that standalone battery, then plugged everything back in and went through the retaining process. It's been good ever since even in these recent 3*F days.
Lubricating those window regulator cables is now part of my scheduled maintenance every 2 years or so. It might help your case.

How long did it take to get the door cover off? Did any clips break? I have seen some videos on youtube but they were edited.
Removing the door is a piece of cake, and removing the door panel from the door is also really easy.
No broken clips or damaged surfaces. A good set of panel poppers is a toolbox requirement when working on modern vehicles.

Do you have a recommendation for a good one? I have been using plastic bike tire tools so far. So something that a shop would use vs amazon junk.
I have Amazon junk. It's supposed to be soft plastic so in this case poor quality works in your favor.
