They give you a point to slide the door onto, a locator for the bottom hinge, while you put the top hinge into place and screw the bolt in. Then you can remove the alignment pin and screw the bottom bolt in.What do they do? I just heard of these this morning, and I've taken my doors off and put them back on.
You put one in the lower bracket and it helps you align the door with that bracket to he’ll avoid inadvertently chipping paint on edge of door against body of bronco. What do they do? I just heard of these this morning, and I've taken my doors off and put them back on.
Haha, sounds like your "friend" might need a backup plan! While the OEM door alignment pins are handy, we have a great alternative with the EZ Door Alignment Pins. They’re designed to make door removal and installation super easy and precise, and they work as a great replacement or upgrade to the stock pins.It was bound to happen at some point, but thankfully it was in my wife’s hands when it went missing! Does anyone have the part number for the door alignment pin that comes in the toolkit? … and are they available in bulk? Asking for a friend.![]()
I decided to buy these because Murphy predicts I'll lose the Ford pin when I'm miles from nowhere. I'll keep them in the Bronco for the first time I take off a door. I have a 4-door, but only expect to remove the driver's door. I bought a 2 pin kit. Murphy outsmarted!Haha, sounds like your "friend" might need a backup plan!
