I try not to even look at other Bronco's when driving now because I don't want to offend the owner. Much less wave at them or touch their baby. What a great generation (sarcasm).

A porter is someone who carries items. Back when people were used as mules more than they are today, a porter was someone who might unload/load your goods from your ship in port, carry your luggage to your hotel room, or be hired out. I had a boss about a decade ago who regularly went to India and said it wasn't uncommon to get one porter per piece of luggage, for instance.wtf is a porter? never heard the term
Don't be a Darren. No it was a guy (Darren)reprimanding a porter on how he thinks a door should be closed!!
That’s how I feel at a poker table when 2-4 limit poker “experts” chime in on what I played for a winning hand. It’s my money and I can lose it any way I want.If someone wants to judge how I use the vehicle I paid for with my money, they can go ahead and do so.
They can also go f*ck themselves, it's none of their business.
Agreed.If it's not yours don't touch it!!!
Ray, quit trying to paint this as something it wasn't, there was no reprimanding, there was a casual conversation. I didn't respond to the rude owner, not one word. So quit trying to paint the picture of an angry guy yelling at people in the service dept.No it was a guy (Darren)reprimanding a porter on how he thinks a door should be closed!!
Use it as a prop? He just wanted to demonstrate the window auto-down feature. Yeah it would be odd if someone walked up in a mall parking lot, but this was at a dealership where guys were talking broncos. Nothing wrong with the guy not wanting his Bronco touched, that is not what this is about. Come on guys! These are Broncos not Porsche Cayenne or some $hit. We don't buy Broncos to stroke our ego or compensate for....In all honesty I think he overreacted, however it’s a little odd to have a stranger want to use my car as a prop. I would’ve said yes anyways, because I’m not an ass about such things like that, but there’s plenty of folks that are.
I said I didn’t have a problem with it slick. Some people do, and that guy was one of them. Simmer down there sweet cheeseUse it as a prop? He just wanted to demonstrate the window auto-down feature. Good grief talk about twisting things around! It was the other customer who snapped at the OP with a snarky and demeaning attitude and for what? The only thing that happened here is the bully got called out. What did you expect them to do? They didn't confront the guy they let him leave nothing was said.I think it's funny how the OP calls the other customer a dick for not wanting his truck touched, and how the lot porters started making fun of him, and OP joins in. Yet the OP claims to work in the public school system----no wonder kids get bullied in school, the adults in the room bully others as well--OP needs to rethink the optics of this post and how it's making him look.
Hey, I got no skin in this game, but the other customer was completely justified in saying no, in what ever manner he saw fit--it wasn't the OP's truck. The OP said he was reaching for the door handle before the other guy said don't touch...then the OP comes here and laments in the fact he got snapped at because "we're all Bronco buddies" and the other guy was smiling. Come on...back away from my Bronco too. Then to make fun of the other guy with dealership employees after he left--not cool.Good grief talk about twisting things around! Sorry dude -- people are trying to stretch this into something it wasn't to dump on the OP. I get it some of us don't want our Bronco touchedI said I didn’t have a problem with it slick. Some people do, and that guy was one of them. Simmer down there sweet cheese
Too much money chasing too few goods and services causes Inflation. This is economics 101 and common sense. Printing money is not a literal term, but means adding to the money supply. If you add money without adding production, what do you get? Okay, that is as political as we can get here without being banned. You are correct high Bronco prices are not necessarily the result of inflation, high demand low supply = high price, again econ 101 stuff. Your comment about lots of guys going back to station wagons is just stupid. Everything has gone up about the same as Bronco has. I'm pretty sure station wagons (minivans) cost as much as a base Bronco.I get where you’re going here, but in a supply and demand strained economy, the over consumption of goods at one price, causes sellers to adjust their calculus and raise prices until demand regains equilibrium with supply, so I was not incorrect.
Demand was crazy during 2021-2023, that’s why interest rates were raised and remain so; people keep spending money and in the case I call out, spending money on crap they don’t need.
With the supply chain already strained, most sellers felt correct that they were leaving money on the table.
Printing of money by the government isn’t what caused Ford to raise Bronco prices. Ford realizing that rich guys were paying ADM and whatever for a vehicle with sky high demand is what caused them to raise the price to where it is now, which is far more than I paid for mine with price protection.
Lots of guys just need to go back to the station wagons…. err, SUVs they came from and belong in, then prices can come down along with interest rates.
