I ordered some Pro Comp rims and the tire store is telling me I need them I called Pro Comp and they said I did not need them does anyone know this answer please I need help

I bought aftermarket wheels from tirerack and they came with them. Yes, I believe they are needed.

Short answer is no.
To be technical if you want to stay factory safe and have added security if you are offroading they wouldn't be a bad idea. But at that point I don't believe a piece of plastic is doing much.

Not needed for OE wheels made for your specific hub specs. Majority of aftermarket wheels needs them unless you're going with high end wheels like forged, multi-piece wheels. For those, chances are you're ordering the wheels to your exact specs.

Here's a good explainer pulled from discount tire:

Most aftermarket wheels are lug-centric, which means the center bore of the wheel is larger than the hub pilot of the vehicle. Hub-centric rings fill the gap between the wheel’s center bore and the vehicle hub for vehicles that are lug-centric. This aligns and centers the tire and wheel assembly on the vehicle, helping to minimize vibration.

Note: Hub-centric rings don’t carry any load and are not required for a secure installation

They are not needed. I had them on a set of wheels for my wrangler jk and they cracked and broke over time I then mounted the wheels without them and no issues whatsoever. I have a new set of rocktrix wheels on my 2022 bronco for a Toyota (bigger hub bore ) no hub centric spacers and also no issues with vibration or anything else.

I personally won’t buy a wheel that’s not hubcentric for my Bronco or any other car/truck that came from the manufacturer with hubcentric wheels……but that’s me. I suppose the adapter rings are ok if they’re machined correctly.
There are lots of wheels available that have the correct center bore for the Bronco.
I’ve been down this road before.

Pretty much all current passenger cars and trucks are hubcentric. Most aftermarket wheels have over sized centerbores to accommodate multiple fitments. So if the centerbore is larger than the OEM wheels then yes. The company that sold you the wheels should know and supply them.

I've been running oversized bore wheels without hubcentric rings my whole life. I've already had 3 different sets on the Bronco. With a little care while tightening the lugs they center just fine.

With a little care while tightening the lugs they center just fine.
This about as correct answer as you'll get.

I'll add that using the rings to help get that 100lb !! wheel and tire pretty damn close to perfect BEFORE the lugs are tightened will make the job a lot easier. That is its primary purpose anyways.

Many many moons ago I researched the hell out of this and finally ended up at a SAE forum and followed a lengthy discussion there.
In the end, almost all modern cars are lug centric, with the centering stub/hub used mostly as I described above ... so the unknowing will have a really good shot at getting the wheel on correctly even if they use a sub-standard torquing sequence.
This also partially explains the tapered lug nuts and seat.

running Fifteen52 wheels with larger/incorrect Toyota center bore. Wheel manufacturer said rings not needed.

I was skeptical, but really wanted this wheel. Would prefer correct center bore, but no problems whatsoever so far. Did tighten lugnuts in alternating sequence.

ironically, when asked, the local 4WP store rep says they don’t install hub centering rings on any of the trucks that they lift and put aftermarket wheels on with the exception of Toyotas which he claimed are “sensitive”.

I also have the Toyota bore but I ordered a set of aluminum bore spacers and I have perfectly balanced tires, for what it’s worth.
